WBB: General All-NCAA Thread - Not Team Cyclones Stuff

Texas up 7 on #1 South Carolina in 2nd Qtr. Dawn Staley NOT happy about the officiating thus far in this one.
She was right. Refs were calling everything on both sides. Now second half not calling anything. Has to be frustrating to play in a game like that. I guess Staley got what she wanted?

I like Caldwell at Tennessee. Desperately hoping for the Lady Vols to pull this out against LSU and Mulkey. Up right now 66-65 with about 6 left.

Throughout the 4th, TN took some really poor shots that kept ending chances to put the pressure on LSU. Fun game to watch though.

Well. It looks like Iowa women’s basketball is back. They basically played themselves in the tournament in the last three games and now on their way to being ranked

Old Lucy is playing like clark all the sudden.

Let's not get carried away, Iowa has Zero votes for the top 25 and Neither does Nebraska. Yes they are having a good stretch but they still are very average.

Yeah, just a couple of "very average" teams with Iowa carding their fourth Quad 1 Win of the year at Nebraska on Monday night. Do you know how many NCAA WBB teams have more Quad 1 Wins than Iowa's four at this moment in time? Hint: As of 2/10, only six NCAA WBB teams had >4 Quad One victories. "Very average" indeed!

For what it's worth, Nebraska has a pair of Quad 1 wins, toiling away in the NET #2 Rated Conference.

Why in the world would you cite the "popularity" poles when the season has progressed to the point where significant NET data exists?

Baylor wins at home vs WVU (75-65).
TCU wins at home vs BYU (79-47).

TCU and Baylor now atop the league at 11-2. K-State (10-2) plays at Cincy tomorrow night.

Sort of preoccupied on vacation and missed that Iowa won at Lincoln. Nice win for them after losing to Huskers in IC.

Iowa is very beatable. They have 7 losses.

I don't disagree, as Lucy goes it seems that's how Iowa goes, but they've won I think 5 in a row. Maybe just took some time for the chemistry to come together and for everyone to settle into their roles.

Sort of balanced out. In the losing streak they lost a couple of games they should have won. And the winning streak included one, maybe two, they might not have been expected to win. Still, all and all, not bad for a rebuild year and a new coach.

Their schedule moving forward will bring them back down to life.

Notre Dame has some upcoming games against teams with a pulse. Finally got a chance to see Hidalgo this year but it was against a horrible Stanford team. Her coach compared her to Skyler Diggins and I can see it a bit even though she is only 5’6”. She is a very good defender for her size and racks up steals similar to Diggins
