@ ASU and @U of A roll call

I see ASU outrebounded WVU by 46 to 28. Of course, WVU missed a lot of shots, but still, that's a huge rebounding advantage. Especially for a road team! We had better stay with them on rebounds in order to win Saturday. I think we can, this team has been pretty decent in that category.

I had to Google Map it due to being unfamiliar with the state of Arizona, but it's ~2 hrs between Tucson and Tempe. So it won't be an overwhelming bus ride for our players, but 2 legit conference opponents in 2 days is tough. TJ treats this like a business trip, and I think we play like a top team and go 2-0 and head back to Ames. I really think that WVU game was a well timed wake up call.

I have a new favorite poster. This honestly doesn't sound unlikely, certainly not impossible.

People forget we are a #1 seed caliber team. I expect this team to win every game, because they are capable of it. I won’t sweat it too hard if we drop a road game here and there, it happens to the best… especially in an elite league like the B12.

Start believing that this team can win every game. They’ve already done plenty to prove it.

I’ll be at both AZ games, confident as ever.

Looking around other teams big 12 schedules this year. Looks like most are doing Saturday Tuesday instead of Saturday Monday when they visit Utah or Zona. Also Cinci WVU seems to be a Saturday Tuesday road trip.

Yep, these are the kind of games that separates a 1 seed from a 2-4.

They played 3 games in 3 days in Maui. I think they can handle 2 in 3 days. We may lose both, but it will be because we can't shoot or don't get to the line. Fatigue is my last concern with this group.
Neutral court and we weren't nursing any injuries. I think we'd win them both is Milan was playing. We'll see.

A few weeks ago, I mentioned the toughest stretch of games was starting with Texas Tech and Ending with Kansas at Allen Fieldhouse. 5-3 over that stretch was a W in my book I thought we’d go 6-2 ….we are currently 3-1. If we can go 3-1 over the next four, I’ll give up my last testicle. But 2-2 is still a W.

After Kansas I honestly think we finish out the remaining games 8-1 with a loss at Houston.

Worst case 15-5 or 16-4 tied for second in Big12 and a lock 2 fringe 1 seed. Go 3-1 over the next 4. Likely 17-3 regular season champions and a lock 1 seed. Big stretch of Ball right here.

Playing two road games in 3 days is a rariety and I think is going to be very hard. First, because we are rankd 3rd in the country, we will get ASU's best shot in their gym, I think it will be a tough game. But then have to go to Arizona on Monday. Is this their biggest home game yet this year? They will be way up for it too. I have been to games there against Washington and Oregon State, they have a very good and enthusiastic crowd. I would feel better about that game if Arizona had a road game on Saturday, but they don't, they are at home against Colorado. My hope is we play our bench enough on Saturday so we have something in the tank for a very tough game on Monday. Would love to go 2-0 on this trip, but 1-1 I can live with.
It's like an NCAA Tournament Weekend.
Let's Go State!
:bugle:

I really don't like the PAC 12 style road trips, those schools are used to them but if we have to I would much rather play Arizona first.

On my way to Phoenix now (splurged for the $29.99 in-flight wifi on American) for the ASU game. Brother is coming in from California with two of his kids and my parents live in Scottsdale. Really excited about it, first time I’ve watched ISU in person since Wayne Morgan was coaching.

See ya tomorrow.
