Didn't go out today till a grocery run around 630 pm. Hands got cold on short 150 foot walk to front door of store. Was sort of thinking it was like around zero degrees or something today. And, nope currently -17 F here. Maybe I should actually watch the weather or check my NWS bookmark more frequently.

Not like I shouldn't have known it was this cold. Drove to gym last night and was thinking, "Hmm, pretty cold. I should really have a stocking cap and something other than driving gloves in the car." I gotta get my head in the winter game here.

I was outside a bit tonight. Wind is just brutal. Seems like when the temp gets below -5 it’s usually mostly calm winds. Not tonight.

I thought about it (or going to my Dad's, as he lives three blocks away). Luckily I have been experimenting with finishing my showers with a minute of cold water (saw that advice online) and I'm way, way more tolerant of it than I would have been otherwise. Still sucked though.

I have to say I find my kids' 2 hour delay comical. Thank god we got it from -11 to -5. If it's too cold at 7:00 AM to be outside (which it was), it's too cold to be out at 9:00 AM.
