Schedules this week for top 5. I included a “ranking” if an opponent got votes in the poll.

1. Auburn
(15) Mississippi State
at (23) Georgia

2. Iowa State
(9) Kansas
at (28) West Virginia

3. Duke
Miami
at Boston College

4. Alabama
(21) Ole Miss
at (8) Kentucky

5. Florida
Missouri
Texas

Why do I get a feeling the pathetically bad ACC wont be held against Duke...

Completely disagree. 5 spots is fair. They are still a great team. Has bad as their Florida loss was, they rebounded with a strong win at Texas.

Texas hasn't beaten a team with a pulse yet...

I'm guessing this is the first time ISU is ranked higher than a top ten-ranked KU when they play one another, and it's a rarity for ISU to be ranked higher than KU in general when they play (or just ranked higher without playing).

I still stunned that Houston is ranked where they are, zero good wins and have lost to any team with a pulse. How they are in the top ten is a mystery.

Looking forward to you guys knocking Kansas back on Wednesday

The sneaky thing with Houston is the losses to Auburn, Alabama, San Diego St were all games they probably should have won at the end, but didn't close and got nipped. I wouldn't be shocked if they end up winning the B12.

I've been called #2 before...not sure if that is good.

Their non-con SOS will be used to excuse it. It's unremarkable (#40 on kenpom), "but they played Auburn and Kentucky and Kansas [and Arizona if they end up being good]!" Losing two of these games won't be mentioned.

Yep, and on that note, what happened to the ACC? This was THE power conference in basketball for decades along with the Big East before the Big East dissolved even up until about 5 years ago or so then it's all kind of fallen apart since then. They're almost as bad as ACC football is now, didn't see that coming.
It's hard to even have historical conversations about conferences at this point. I honestly can't remember all the various teams that wound up in conferences after this last round. Completely forgot Cal landed in ACC.

You can easily say the same for our only loss, which happens to be above their three losses

They will get a pass because they played Kentucky, Auburn, Kansas and Arizona in the non conference.
They will win the ACC and the ACC tournament easily and will probably get the overall 1 seed IMO
The ACC is as bad as I can ever remember and that is with adding more teams. I mean its like Miami, Notre Dame, Virginia, Syracuse, North Carolina, Louisville gave up on basketball lately.
This is no different than Gonzaga in past years. And a bad ACC is still stronger than the cup cakes Gonzaga plays (outside of maybe St Mary’s).

Absolutely, I would say what people are missing with our Auburn game is the fact that we were a couple of plays away from running Auburn out of the building. people see that game as we lost on a tip in. We see it as we were up 18 points with several chances to expand on that 18 point lead and kind of "put it out of reach" and just let them back in the game and lost at the end.

Agree. We lost that game in first 4 minutes of the second half.
