I’m going to say #4. I think they’ll put Alabama at #3 based on their win at UK but our win against KU will keep us ahead of FL and TN. Houston’s wins aren’t good enough to jump all the way from 10 to 4

This was my guess after looking at it too. They lost as well this week, but their loss will be viewed as better because they were ranked

I don't know why Alabama would jump us. They lost at home to Ole Mss. It's not like they were head and shoulders better than us this week. I'll guess we drop back to 3.

Plenty of reasons for them to jump us:

Ole miss was ranked, wvu was not.
Our loss was Saturday, theirs was earlier in the week before they beat Kentucky. So recency bias will benefit them.
SEC bias

Everyone was saying Duke would jump us last week "Cause Duke" and that didn't happen. Guess we will see.

Yeah, but that's because we had not lost. Poll inertia makes it hard for a team that has not lost to be jumped. We have lost, which opens things up.

Ole Miss loss was also at home and ours was on the road. Metrics wise ours was probably the tougher game. We also have one fewer loss which is often the tie breaker for voters. We'll know tomorrow I guess.

Yeah, there’s zero reason Alabama should jump us. Guess we will see, but would make no sense.

Guessing 3- Duke going 2-0 for the week will slide them into the 2 spot. I can see Bama jumping us because of you know, $EC, but don’t really see justification for them sliding much more than that. Worse case is either 4 or 5

Iowa state and TJ got some love from Game Day. we are becoming a favorite amongst the casual BB fans. SEC and BIG are wanting the spot light, but people are well aware of their agenda. I suspect we are ranked in the top 3 this week.

Lots of basketball to play...Cyclones haven't really put together completely solid, well played games in the past week...but they've been winning until WV on Saturday. Would like to see resounding, cohesive games from them on both sides of the ball moving forward...but that's easier said than done in Big12 play...so, if we can't get that, at least pull out the wins!

Duke will be #2, although points total might be close.

ISU either #3 or #4. ‘Bama’s win over UK more “fresh in voters’ minds,” so I’d lean #4.

Last week voter points:
Iowa State 1,469
Alabama 1,338
(Duke 1,403)

Alabama:
Lost to (21) Ole Miss (which lost this week to (15) Mississippi State (OT))
Won at (8) Kentucky

Iowa State:
Defeated (9) Kansas
Lost at (28) West Virginia (which lost this week at (10) Houston)

We should be 3 or 4 but they’ll hold this loss to WVU against us more than they will Florida losing at home to Mizzou or Tennessee losing at Vanderbilt.

This, of course, shouldn’t happen. WVU is a legit top 25 team and this is a road loss for us.

Bama jumping us will piss me off less. There is an argument that the win at Kentucky is more impressive than our win at home against KU.

Losing at home against fringe top 25 Ole Miss at home is probably equivalent to losing on the road to fringe top 25 WVU.

Dukes only has 2 remaining Q1 games... They should go at least 18-2 at the absolute worst given how horrible the ACC is.

Meanwhile ISU has 6 remaining, with three of those happening between now and 2/3.. Plus we just completed a stretch of three straight Q1a games, two of those on the road, and the home game was to a team Duke was beaten by..
