2025 Athletics Update

CU.... BB tickets. $510, for courtside center court. Require donation of... $510.
total price at highest level...... $1020 per ticket.

Ours: $700 tix each. at least $7500 donation, but for center court bottom rows at least $15k which is what I looked at. Outside those seats it gets cheaper. Ours are minimum 700 plus 7500 for entire lower level.
Well, now you are comparing a Ford to a used chrysler kcar. According to you that is justified and ok.

BTW, you big numbers for Hilton represent how many seats?

What do the cheap seats cost at Hilton vs CU and KU?

You cannot be this dumb, can you? You are trolling, right?

A quick google shows you are 100% incorrect. No idea why you seem to double down on something that is so easily refuted.
He must be a troll.

over 5,000 posts and a reaction score of 300. Hawk fans here have better score than that.

Total troll and worth blocking.

What u have shown so far validates me - u don't need an ncc donation to buy season tickets at isu.

Compare apples to apples. Maybe then produce data that shows seats by donation, and overall average price for every seat in the stadium.

Also, please include the hillside seats at Trice.

I love it. Keep struggling with half-baked opinions.

And I showed you that you also dont need a donation at KSU to buy season tix either.

I have posted apples to apples every time. You have posted nothing.

Show me another stadium with hillside seats in the corners like ISU has and compare. You know apples to apples like you want. You want the data, then show it yourself.

I don’t have any inside info, but to those earlier in this thread celebrating that this means we will be near maxing out the $22 million for player salaries, I will be extremely surprised if that is true. The email itself says that it’s also to cover new contracts for Campbell/Otz. We already knew that the athletic department was going to be operating at a significantly lower number than originally planned due to adding the 4 corners Big 12 schools and the lower CFP payouts. That was all BEFORE expenses needed to increase for paying players.

I assume we will be around $10-15 million for player salaries.

Can they not buy tickets without a minimum donation level? We allow people of buy STs without a donation. Maybe we shouldn’t but the AD has made a commitment to make tix accessible.
You can purchase tickets by the Sukup area and not make a donation. That is where our tickets are and we do not donate. I suppose we should, but throwing another say $500 in really would not get us much more than our current tickets and purchasing GA parking gets me.
As much as the small guy donating helps, ISU unlike OSU does not have oil money being pumped into the program, those types of donors are the difference between the two programs.

You keep stated examples to fit your dialogue. Did u include our hillside tickets in your averages? U have been the one making blanket statements that are not true.

Speedy and others, I am sorry you can't afford to buy tickets you want because they are too expensive. If we don't sell enough tickets I am sure there will be deals available to fill the seats next year.

JP has to run his department the way he sees fit with WW's approval.

JP has limitations on what he can do because the Iowa Board of Regents doesn't allow using University funds. Most other schools in the Big 12 don't have that limitation.

I don't care what other schools charge for tickets and the required donations. Their situations are different than Iowa State's. My guess is they will have to catch up pretty fast going forward.

People surprised by these changes just weren't paying attention. We have reduced revenue the next 2 years until the new TV contract kicks in because of how the $ corner schools came into the league in addition to higher coaching salaries and revenue sharing.

Can we get to reseating Jack Trice and Hilton? I am a $3,750 donor sitting in $300 donor sections. Yes, I have had opportunities to move to better sections but still in sections at a significantly lower donation level.

Didnt say I couldnt afford it.

I said I cant make it pencil out anymore. I dont spend money irresponsibly.

When I can buy as good or better seats for less than my donation and season tix require, I am not going to continue to spend more for less. I can also pick and choose what games I want without feeling the requirement to go because I paid so much.

Buying tickets on the secondary market this year was significantly cheaper than paying the donation and season ticket price. So I made the decision based on that, affording is one thing, paying more when I dont get significant benefit of the increase is another.

I’m a long-time Cyclone Club donor but I sit in non-donor seats. They cost a little less, but we’ve sat around the same people for many years, and the friends you see at the games is half the fun.

Great question and request. That does not seem fair.

Someone - when was the last time we reseated HC and JTS?
