I mean I could also see them starting out 6-0. I’ll believe ISU can beat them in Jack Truce again when I actually see it. Indiana loses a ton of guys don’t they? Wisconsin just seems to be sputtering under Fickel.Maybe 6. 7 seems like a stretch for a defunct offense and defense that seems to be taking a step back. Going to be hard to punt their way to wins next year.

Lots are blaming the refs yet again, what’s new. Just the Iowa coaching staff going what they do best…overthinking.
Most of their skill players are back. Obviously outside of Johnson, but they seemed to do fine without him. Lose 3 starting OL and 3 starting DL, but they are always at least competent at those positions. Where they’re really going to hurt is losing all 3 LBs plus Castro in their hybrid position. Still, they’re probably 7-5 at least unless things really fall apart.I see PSU and Oregon as the two good B1G teams they'll face.
Who knows if ISU can put it together for CyHawk in Ames.
Everything else there is toss up ish at best.

I’m just not convinced they have the type of team to thrive in toss up games next year.I see PSU and Oregon as the two good B1G teams they'll face.

My only thought here is why listen to that crap? The only Cyclone on that station is Heather, and she always sounds like someone farted and she's disgusted by the smell.LOLOLOL listening to Morning Rush. Barely a word about #3 Cyclones basketball of course. Last caller telling all the things they need to fix in the portal and he basically mentioned every single position... like SWARM has that kind of resources.
Hasn't that been the case forever now?I’m just not convinced they have the type of team to thrive in toss up games next year.
That feels like 6-7 wins maybe, if they do their usual thing. Bucky, Minny, Nubs... one or two of those will fall apart.Maybe 6. 7 seems like a stretch for a defunct offense and defense that seems to be taking a step back. Going to be hard to punt their way to wins next year.

Probably. But I bet if you asked their coaches and players they would think they have an advantage in those types of games. And they still make plenty of flukey things happen when games get weird.Hasn't that been the case forever now?
I don't follow Iowa much but they have the same team every year.
Solid at least on defense and special teams, bad but opportunistic on offense and if it's a close game it comes down to about 4 plays and the stronger fundamental team generally wins there, of which Iowa often is.
Castro was out for the Michigan State game and boy was it obvious. They're also really going to miss Jay Higgins. Missouri did a great job getting open even with their backup wide receivers, so it'd be nice if we could exploit that next fall. Most of their skill players are back. What can I say? Not enough intelligent life forms in that situation to even reason that out one way or another.Cripes, and the players from that town that are ISU vs Iowa and they are Iowa fans?

I think the defense takes a big step backwards next year. That’s the most important aspect of them weirding up games. I think they will really struggle to dictate the type of game they want to play, let alone win those types of games.
Stranger things have certainly happened than this.I mean I could also see them starting out 6-0. I’ll believe ISU can beat them in Jack Truce again when I actually see it. Indiana loses a ton of guys don’t they? Wisconsin just seems to be sputtering under Fickel.
