He certainly takes up some space in people's minds, which they allow to happen. Just unfollow the guy and stop listening to his content, lol. But he also talks about Iowa State all the time, and in the last year I'd say he's maybe talked about Iowa State more than Iowa. Iowa State is rattling his brain right now and I have a feeling it'll continue.

Hassel, like many EIU fans are coming to the realization that for the first time in their adult life that the program they love, is now behind the program, that they hate more than anything. For years EIU fans have belittled ISU, never had a 10 win regular season, never did all the things that EIU was doing, and now that has ended. They all saw their MBB team play as well as they possible can, and still lose by 9, at home to the team they hate. They realize that Mad Fran and Freerents holds all the cards here, about leaving and a firing and buyout is not only going to be very costly, the athletic program does not have the money to do it, even if they wanted too. They throw out ideas that Mad Fran will go, walk away to coach his kid after this year and Freerents will do the right thing and retire. Getting EIU out of those contracts, neither is going to happen, but they see they are getting left behind, and if changes are not made, ISU for the first time in a long time, has a chance to really become the #1 team in the state, and that thought scares the hell out of them.

They might not think about it consciously. I do know a lot of central Iowa Hawkeye fans are not responding well to having to deal with so many Iowa State fans, and even worse, that the Iowa State fans are loud. It's just 40 years of karma coming around.

it is important to note that the white sweatshirt guy on the sidelines was an Iowa State fan. I like watching him celebrate the last Jones 3. I can imagine all the hawk fans behind him were annoyed that a clone was on the sidelines. I found the Iowa fan on the Iowa half of the court was more annoying. He kept yelling at refs and trying to pump up the crowd.
