"Why won't our rival opponent fill our arena that our fans routinely leave two thirds empty" is quite a take, even for Hassel. It's entirely possible that CHA is taken entirely over by Iowa State AND there's still that many seats available, knowing how Hawk fans feel about CFM and his team.
Can't go this year but tickets the last couple of times were dirt cheap. Iowa basketball fans are a very passive bunch so no reason not to go and support the Cyclones.

Just spent 24 hours on I-35 going to and from Dallas. Just worn out. I-80 is not fun either, with that cesspool of Iowa City as the destination.

And it wasn't as close as the final score. That was the game that Bryce d Jones had to sit out an everyone was freaking. Nader might of had his best dunk along the baseline. Think he got blocked, probably fouled. Just remember how explosive it was

Talked to Frank after they played Pitt one year. He was decent to talk to and CIMD had shown them around Stanford before Luka went to Iowa. He said the fact there were more than a hundred people in the stands was Luis’s biggest adjustment. Had no problem rooting for Pitt to win that night.
