I am so curious to see what the ratings and interest is in the non-playoff bowls this year. I know quite a few CFB fans who regularly travel to games and bowls and interest is the lowest I can ever remember by far.

I won't be watching. Those games might as well not exist to me.

disagree. if ASU wants to make a case for a CFP bye they had to run up the score as much as possible. and as the saying goes, "it's the other team's job to stop them".
I'm talking about our guys dope. ASU hasn't played a starter the whole 4th quarter.

To top everything off, hok MBB is probably going to win @ Michigan.

Good.

Maybe there won't be as many 'they're soft and look at what ISU did in Maui so they should win by 20' posts this week on the lead up to that game despite the opposite generally happening in Iowa City.

I coached collegiately 30 years in a really strong NCAA program in Ohio, and one thing I know for certain. Winning is learned. Matt Campbell learned how to win as a player and he has brought a winning attitude to ISU. What he and his staff has done is SO INCREDIBLY HARD. The ESPN article from yesterday hit the nail on the head, as the pain of the last couple of years shaped this team to work so hard to ensure success this season as we did something ISU football has never accomplished.

For all you ISU Eeyore fans, I feel sad for you, as you just don't get how hard it is to do what all the coaches do at ISU in all our programs. We got 10 wins this season. We may never see that again! I sure hope we do, but we all know how hard it is. This year's team learned how to win, and today our team is learning that while winning is hard, winning a Championship is a whole other level of hard and how to win.

While I was hoping we could take a big step forward today by winning our first Big XII championship, we took what looks like a big step backwards. As a former coach, I believe we still took a baby step forward today despite the score, as we needed to be in this moment to truly understand how hard it is to win a championship (Yes, I know we were there in 2020). Whether you believe it or not, today will hopefully pay benefits to our program someday down the road WHEN we get here again, as that future team will understand it takes even more to get 'the ship.'

Regardless, I am so proud of this team. I'm so proud to be a Cyclone. I wish all of us were. Remember, whether they make big bucks with NIL deals, get an okay NIL deal, or don't get an NIL deal at all, these are kids learning life skills on their way to adulthood while wearing ISU on their jersey. I am so proud, and I will wear my Cyclone gear all day today to celebrate the pride I have from my time in Ames and my affinity for all the awesome things ISU did for me and still means to me.

Go Clones and good luck in your bowl game!

Am I the only person that hates the teams in our conference more than any teams outside of our conference? (Iowa exception there)

I’m going to be rooting hard for ASI to get smoked in the playoff.
Yes. It’s certainly better that your petty hatred get satisfied than the Big12 getting more revenue by advancing a team in the playoffs.

Looking back it seems so obvious that Iowa State's primary defensive scheme was the wrong one for a team like ASU, that features a dominant tailback and effective dual threat quarterback. It simply isn't possible to change your bread and butter scheme for one game, especially when you had been good enough this season to get by against similar, albeit less talented teams. But make no mistake, Heacock did not prepare this team well enough for what they faced today.
It comes down to execution regardless of alignment. We didn't tackle well and our LB's were out of position lots as well. That's been an issue all season with all the injuries at LB.

Glad to see the touchdown. I am impressed that Most ISU fans have remained at the game despite the score. It’s very quiet on our side of the field. Even the fan camera is concentrating on the ASU fans. I now understand what it’s like to be a Hawkeye fan at a Big 10 conference championship game..

MIami or Colorado against this bunch in a bowl......

OK...I don't watch any tape at all....just the games. Question: do our coaches watch tape? Do they see how Sama runs when there is not snow on the ground?
