History will be made Wednesday night, as No. 6 Iowa State hosts No. 5 Marquette in the Big 12/BIG EAST Battle at Hilton Coliseum.

It will be the 32nd Top 15 game in program history and the 13th in Hilton Coliseum, but will be the first to feature the Cyclones against a non-conference opponent.

I could see us trade leads in the first half with a 2-4 point lead at halftime. Then both teams go through scoring droughts in the second half before we lock things down around the 5 minute mark and go up for good. We're in Hilton. We're winning this.

I'd love to see us get some defensive identity back. I'm willing to attribute the defense in Maui to the weirdness of the gym, format, etc. Those always seem to be high scoring games. But I think we are capable of guarding at a much higher level starting tonight.

Can't believe how much of this game has been put on the back burner with the Football game this weekend along with the playoff talk.

From what I have seen so far Auburn and Marquette look like final four teams.

This is a great early season test. Really hoping the defense shows up and not your defense equals a foul. Also want to get out of the game with no injuries.

It's odd seeing a team with better defensive analytics than ISU. However, I think the Cyclone offense is up to the task.
