They let him get away with it last week so he just doubled down on it and then some. And it might still work for him, Lando lost a spot and a ton of time to Ferrari.
He is driving like Kevin Magneson earlier this year.

He’s driving like Max. We just forgot how he acted in traffic because RB were so far ahead of everyone up until now. He is the Senna of this generation, an amazing talent behind the wheel, but will also do anything to finish first, even if the car isn’t there. He is driving like Kevin Magneson earlier this year.
I tell you what, that was an absolute MASTERCLASS by Haas, they have some genuine PACE this back half of the year. I am so damn excited about Ayao. He's been so great for Haas, bringing in legit sponsors. I really think we can compete for best of the midfield.
If there were like 8 races to go, I think we could catch Aston for 5th they are straight awful, but 6th after last season is incredible.
I think the Ocon and Bearman signing is going to be even better, I keep coming back to Hulk... he's gotta be second guessing, but i'm sure the Audi money was too good to pass up.
We know Max will catch up with the rest of them. Just will he finish 7th or 3th. That is my guess.Max is taking at least a 10 place grid penalty for a new engine, KMag is out for the sprint with an illness, and there's a 60% chance of rain Sunday. Gotta love Brazil.
Speaking of Haas I thought this was intresting, KMag was a tenth faster than Max in the second stint.
Believe it'll only be a 5 place penalty. He took a 10 place penalty at Spa, another ICE after that is 5 places unless he has any additional components taken in addition.Max is taking at least a 10 place grid penalty for a new engine, KMag is out for the sprint with an illness, and there's a 60% chance of rain Sunday. Do we? If the McLaren's and Ferrari's qualify top 5, then he'll start behind them for sure and I don't know that the Red Bull has the race pace to catch/overtake them. If he doesn't qualify on pole and ends up behind a couple Mercedes as well they could hold him up too depending on what Mercedes shows up.We know Max will catch up with the rest of them. FIA release says 5 place, so not so bad but still an issue for them if they aren't on the pace with McLaren/Ferrari and Mercedes has run well in Brazil historically. He'll really need to put it on pole to minimize the potential damage. It was F1 TV's tech guy that said it was a 10 place penalty, so maybe he did take another part?
If it's 10 I wonder if you just replace everything and take a huge grid drop just to avoid a wreck in a midfield start. A 5 place drop probably isn't as hazardous if they think they'll qualify well.
Well, if it's dry it sure seems like McLaren is going to be tough to beat. Not so sure it'll be dry however with that forecast. Lando should make up a couple points tomorrow in the sprint however.
If Max can only manage 4th or 5th in qualifying for Sunday, that'll be a tricky fight back from 9th or 10th on the grid. If things go right, there is a big opportunity for Lando to close the gap a good bit.
Max got a five second wait penalty and ended up in 4th for his early safety car start
