Sportsmanship

Earlier today saw a clip on 60 minutes on the new LA Clippers arena - wow, with the lights.

I don't hate them being used to celebrate a home team score, but the way they used them between our offensive plays was pretty bush-league.
How often did it happen? I only remember it being egregious once and CMC immediately said something and I don’t think it happened again. Could have been an honest mistake.

I noticed it at least a couple times in the first half, but didn't keep track. It struck me as an odd time to use them.

As an aside, those are super cool when you're in the stadium, but I've always thought they look awful on TV.

WVU did not offer Rocco out of high school. He admittedly was not a super-highly-regarded recruit, three-star on 247, but seems odds for a "legacy" guy.
Did not do any research but I had several W VA fans tell me they recruited Rocco hard. One of them was good friends with Anthony Becht.

FYI we got into Morgantown on Tuesday and the locals were great. Can't tell you how many people welcomed us to Morgantown and asked if were were having a good time or if we needed anything.

So the payment is not lump-sum, and it would be paid in installments?
Really hard to figure out from the article, I did go to their board this morning, and they had posted a link from three guys that are suppose to know what is going on within the program and they all stated that WV was not going to fire Brown this season and they would be giving him at least until the 2025 season to turn it around. They all stated the AD was still in the coach's corner, but I would guess a lot could change over the last 6 games.

I think it was 2017 when they pointed lasers at our kicking team
They have laser pointers on the list of prohibited items at the gates of Milan Puskar now. Kind of like when we visited Lubbock (student section kicked out game) and they had the pregame announcement about not tolerating racist/homophobic language (before everyone added that to pregame), I thought out loud, "Must have had a problem with that?"

Played loud stadium music well after the clock was wound. Only happened when we were on offense. Band as well. Seems like there was more too it, but I can't remember.

We almost did the same thing last week against Baylor, but it wasn't nearly as obvious/bad
Let’s not distract ourselves from the fact that their gameday production was centuries ahead of ours. It was well timed with great content and at the right times. The lights were awesome and even if we don’t have that technology, the other aspects made JTS look like it is still using Clyde Williams tech…

The fans in Morgantown were mostly great, lots of "Welcome!" A few odd interactions, like "ya ain't in Iowa no more," as he looked away from our group, walking up the NE steps. Slightly threatening and scared at the same time, just odd. A few more "$%*& Iowa!" as the game tilted our way, and I agreed - no one likes the Hawks... :D

We had lunch at Fat Angelo's, it was great! And the guy behind the bar was very friendly, talked football with us for a bit, flipped the TV to the Iowa/WA game for a bit, etc. Morgantown gets my "I'd go back" stamp. Which has been common in my B12 travels, in order from "most likely to go back" to "once was enough": Provo, WVU, K-State, KU, oSu, Cinci, OU, TX, kNU... and Lubbock. I included ex-B12, OU and TX were surprisingly good and welcoming (and would probably be higher if they stuck around.) kNU was fine/good, much different than IA City when I offered fisticuffs... And Lubbock? Once was more than enough - a drunk guy a couple rows in front of us tried to fight me the entire game. When we started coming back, I actually started to fear for our safety a little.

I thought the same thing I also feel like someone under 65 produced the Playlists and it worked

I wasn't at this one, but in 2021 your comments were true. Our white-out did close the gap a whole lot though.

Wanted to mention the sportsmanship that I saw on both sides of the ball last night. I saw Cyvlones helping Mountaineers off the ground after plays and I saw Mountaineers helping Cyclones up, too. I like that you play hard each play but after the play you treat each other with respect.
Yeah, I like to see the guys hit em hard and then help em up after the play.

Neal Brown was a desperate man on the verge of losing his job last Saturday night. I'd feel sorry for him if it wasn't for the fact that he will be paid many millions of dollars to go away. We should all be so unfortunate.
