Sportsmanship

WVU fanbase are mostly good sports, just like ISU. Both will always have a bad egg here or there, but it's starting to feel like a mostly friendly, fun little Big XII rivalry. Viva la Riot Bowl.

On the field? Seems like things have been much nastier with some Texas schools (UT, BU) in the past. ISU/WVU feels competitive, but not disrespectful from both sides. Had no problem with anything I saw last night.

And that would have been before NIL was a big deal.

The rumors apparently involve last offseason.
No clue about that, on their board they had someone post why they did not get him, and quite a few people said they had him in, but the kid that is their backup now was higher rated and the staff was not impressed with Becht to take both of the them.
Quite a few pointed out that the kid they did not take just beat WV and the kid that they took instead of Becht is still sitting on the bench, while Rocco is getting better every game.

At least neither team needed five injury timeouts like the KSU defense needed last night against Colorado. CU fans were booing them like crazy!

The lights were still flashing with under 15 seconds left on the play clock. ISU was already lining up. Tough to read a defense when the lights go on and off.

If anyone cares, it happens at around 30 seconds left on the game clock in the 2nd quarter (@Cyhig is correct, it's about 15 seconds on the play clock). Broadcast clearly shows Campbell pointing it out to the sideline ref

Oh... and when we're actually trying to just kill the clock at the end, which is good sportsmanship, their head coach keeps calling timeouts. I was SO glad CMC decided to throw the fade to Higgins just to put his foot on Neal Brown's throat and show him who's the boss in this game.
Man I was hoping that ended in the end zone to keep Higgins streak alive
