***ISU WNBA Thread***

This is also a team that shares the ball more than some of the recent Lynx teams. They have a MVP level super star but she isn't the only one that gets the ball. Carleton would barely get a ball touch on some of the Lynx teams.
I remember many of those games as there were a couple players (now gone) who once they got the ball they were never going to give it up and would shoot it no matter how covered they were or not even if another team mate was wide open.

Rough day for BC, 1-10 at the moment (all threes).

Edit: she did hit her last shot and ended 2-11 (all from three).
If BC hits a little under her 3-point average or better, that could made it a game.

Interesting how physical the game is off ball. BC was on Mabry at times, who aggressively pushes off to get open

Physical? Bridget gets the stuffings beat out of her so she has to be physical and not take the initiative.
What I mean is that the Lynx are not as overly aggressive on defense as say the sun were. Plus they don't constantly complain about calls like other teams do.

What I am saying is Bridget is physical as she withstands the beating she gets. It is implied as a one-sided concept here. Some teams submit and lose in physical play as they lack physicality. Lynx can withstand it as proven but as you note don't inflict it as willingly.

I agree she is tough and takes a beating and just comes back. As I tried to say she is not a player who goes out of her way to beat on people

Bridget is tough and keeps playing without flopping as others tend to do. Lynx all play that way and I think it reflects their coach

Let's hope Lynx win tonight and win the finals - it'll be nice to have another WNBA champ after the great Alison Lacey
I was thinking about how Joens is technically a WNBA champ as well (she did get a ring) and Lacey only has one more postseason minute played than Joens, and I decided to once again compare Bridget to all other former ISU players.

Career postseason:
Bridget Carleton: 14 games, 408 minutes, 118 points, 48 rebounds, 23 assists, 13 steals, 3 blocks (2020, 2021, 2023, 2024 Minnesota Lynx)
Everyone else: 5 games, 9 minutes, 0 points, 1 rebound, 0 assists, 2 steals, 0 blocks

Everyone else:
Desiree Francis: 2 games, 4 minutes, 1 rebound (2000 NY Liberty)
Brittany Wilkins: 2 games, 4 minutes, 2 steals (2008 San Antonio Stars -- now LV Aces)
Alison Lacey: 1 game, 1 minute (2010 Seattle Storm)
