NFL: Kansas City Chiefs Thread

Maybe Burks from Tennessee, Woods from Houston, or Thielen from Carolina, would be solid adds. Burks would cost more, but has the most tread left on the tires. Woods and Thielen would be reliable targets.
Thielen is old and on IR and Woods isn't young either. Burks is intriguing and feels like a Toney situation from two years ago. I'd also see if NE is willing to take a later round draft pick for KJ Osborn. He's on a cheap 1 year deal and he doesn't seem to be fitting in on a team that is going nowhere this year. Seemed like a solid receiver when he was in Minnesota.

I must have missed Thielen's injury. My point on a guy like Woods is that Mahomes needs reliability over athletic ability, out of a wr at this point, in my opinion.

Yeah I can see people like Cooper or Johnson as a more likely candidate. Like you said wait and see which teams are basically out of it and willing to dump some guys.

Crazy Chiefs went from looking great at WR to basically trash pretty quickly. Losing both Brown and RIce is such a huge blow to the offense. They are going to have to lean a lot more into Worthy and have him run a wider variety of routes. Kelce and Gray i think will be heavily counted on and then guys like Hunt and Perrine will probably be utilized more in the pass game.
Hardman should know the playbook and has primarily been a return guy to date. I don't see why he can't be a productive WR but obviously he hasn't demonstrated any consistent production as a WR.

Not sure what is up with Moore, he only had one target yesterday, dropped it for what would have been a nice 3rd down pickup and was never throw the ball his way again. Wonder if we should not have kept Toney, who I hated and cut Moore instead.
They essentially are the same player, both have stone hands and can't catch a ball. I think Toney may have been more of a clubhouse issue possibly.

Renfrow would be a decent option and there are already places throwing the idea out there of bringing him in. Claypool got cut by the Bills after a toe injury in August, I'm guessing if you go up and down that list many of these guys are still unemployed because they either have injury issues, performance issues, locker room issues, or a combo of all. There isn't really anyone on this list that strikes you as a better option than what they already have unfortunately.

I was listening to the NFL network and someone brought up Toney for another team, and both guys questioned why any team would put up with him considering what he brings back to the team. Stated both the Giants and Chiefs were fed up with his attitude, and he was not worth the gamble for any team right now.

Definitely sounds like the Chiefs might just see how they can do with what they have for now at least.

My guess, the way Coach is talking, regarding Isiah Pacheco, is that he'll be gone for the year.

Wasn't it the distal fibula? If that is the case, surgical repair and getting that rehab right, is critical. The involved talocrural joint has to be perfectly repaired and aligned for him to walk well, let alone run.
