Based off Dresser's October email, wrestle off dates are set:
  • First round: October 13th at 2pm at Lied Rec
  • Finals (potentially best 2 of 3): October 19th
    • Timing TBD based off football game time. Might have first round before the game in the morning, then second round after the game
These will be open to the public and a great opportunity to see what weights some guys are planning to be at. With as deep as the team is, these should be some great matches

Don’t think Casey or Bartelt will wrestle off.

That’s some serious depth and talent. The thought of Tate and Aiden wrestling off for 174 is pretty cool - 2 Iowa high school legends. Whoever wins the 141 spot will AA

Honestly, the way the weights worked out, this is a lineup with a potential AA at every weight. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t think they’ll get 10 AAs or even close, but on any given day all 10 weights have a guy that can compete at that level.

Looks good. Would only add, I believe it's been said that Casey won't wrestle on the 13th. I'd be surprised if he wrestled off at all. Also think you would have to give the #1 seed to Redding (is he really only a JR?), just based on experience at 141. I think JFrost wins the weight though.

I remember JFrost beating Redding handedly last year at wrestle offs, which obviously doesn’t mean squat for this year.

I was impressed when Redding bumped up to 149 in a few duals. He’s tough.

Frost beat him in wrestleoffs last year, would make sense for frost to have a higher seed based on that. Also based on the depth chart/seeds released from Flo the other day Frost is the 1.

He is same as Paniro RS So. He grey shirted (not enrolled full time) his first year.
This is the first I heard about Schon gray shirting. I usually don't miss things like that. Makes sense. I am really interested to see how Carroll does against him (highly touted PA recruit who has been around the program since 2021).
