Kyle Konrardy Appreciation Thread

Can't be understated that was a freshman kicker. When Shaggy kicked the game winner against Iowa in '07, that was a senior kicker. When Cole Netten kicked the game winner against Iowa in '14, that was a sophomore kicker.

Press Q: “If he got a scholarship, did it pay off, or is he about to get one soon?”

CMC: “I’m not gonna answer tha…er, he’s getting a scholarship as soon as possible.”

(I was assuming he wanted to make it a surprise, then realized it would be the most expected “surprise” ever)

I really thought they should have had him attempt a kick (even if a long one) against ND and not his first kick in Kinnick. Obviously hit the upright on the first one but made the next 2 (both were longer). That is true guts for those to be his career 2nd, 3rd kicks and to drill them.

Ben’s just said the first one was an issue with the snap (which he warned about last week), and said the other two were perfect.

And from the enemy quarterdeck..
Roughly 5:43:20 for the start of the last drive

Don't view this on YouTube (view here), no need to give them the hits.
Edit: No need to click on this link, if you've seen it. It's just the Iowa call of the game and winning FG.

Sorry if already posted and discussed here (I usually check out between end of March Madness and Iowa football game)….

What was the off season adversity with his family that I keep hearing people mention?

This isn't hype, folks. Having a kicker like Konrardy is often the difference between having a good season and a great season. He is already the reason why we're 2-0 instead of 1-1.

Rumor is there are still 2 large craters on the field at Kinnick. Balls that big have set the ground down at least 10 feet.

Kyle, if you didn't have a girlfriend before the game, I'm guessing you can take your pick now!

Good job... proud of you!
