Pate is a closeted (but not really anymore) ISU fan. He's just being bombastic about it to be funny. He has joked many times on his show about not letting ISU be the team to go deep in the playoffs or he will become a full blooded homer for ISU.

I wasn't a Kittle fan in college but he has really grown on me as a niner/Purdy teammate. The dude is really pretty darn funny.
Honestly Northern Illinois should be ranked whether you think they are a top-25 team or not. I believe they are 2-0 with a road win against a top-5 team. On pure resume alone nobody has a better one. Especially how much everyone was clamoring up Notre Dame after their impressive win at Kyle Field last week.

Just researched the last couple minutes.
1. Iowa with the ball with like 1:25 left, we are out of timeouts and make a stop...and the clock ticked
2. Iowa takes a delay of game vs using a timeout for their punter. Now those 5 yards matter.
3. Noel, back to back great moves/plays.
4. Panic when Brehmer tackled in bounds and the clock was running.
5. I was surprised iowa didn't try to ice our kicker.

2-14 on 3rd downs sucks but alot of those were 3 and 7+ because we’d run it twice on 1st and 2nd and get stuffed
It was mentioned in there that they got to the studio when it looked like Iowa had wrapped it up. I want to see the video of Hassel as the game turned.
