EA Sports NCAA Football game

Did they provide an update to tweak stuff? I went and played one game tonight and couldn’t not score and had no problem stopping the opponent. Before I couldn’t hardly stop the opponent and had decent difficulty scoring.
Sounds like football!

Dove into RTG last night and have been having a lot of fun with it.

3-star WR and started as a bench player at Boise State. Finally climbed into a starter role in time for the bowl game then hit the transfer portal and Washington had a ton of interest in me and offered me a second-string spot immediately. Position battles are fun.

Two things of note, though:
1) the Heisman winner from my first season was the freshman QB from Memphis, which doesn't feel particularly realistic for a host of reasons. The sim is just as bad in RTG as it is in dynasty, apparently.
2) There are a TON of options for hometowns when creating your player, including some really really small ones. But other significantly larger cities are missing. Our best guess is they included hometowns for kids currently playing college ball in real life since those are already in the game as part of their bios. Can anyone confirm?

won the natty with the clones last night on varsity setting.

will bump up to AA this next season and try it again. I realized i recruited like sh*t and had a total of 14 commits. im under the scholarship limit. this next season could be.. interesting.

winning the title doesn't keep Cooper or Sama either. They transfer, i feel, no matter what.

Is there an option to turn this off? I have no interest in getting this game if I lose my best players every year. I already live in the real world, I want to have fun, not lose my top players every year to Alabama.

You can track the players that are considering transferring as the year goes by, and see their reasons. It tells you what you can do to make them stay, as well. If you have a running back that is considering transferring because of playing time, get them more carries. If your DE doesn't like your playing style, focusing on getting sacks will make them come off the list.
Players don't leave randomly. They have motivations and the game tells you what to do to remedy them.

That's odd. I kept both by winning the vaunted Las Vegas bowl. Must be somewhat random.

i haven't looked into it. the reason they leave is "brand recognition" but throughout the season, i dont think my brand recognition ever went up. Iowa State is a C+ in that category.

the way its supposed to go up is winning big primetime games, winning playoff games, etc.. in season 2, i scheduled P4 teams who were rated hoping wins will improve that.

fwiw those were the only 2 and now, currently, i don't have any want to transfer because of that reason. But I agree.. losing those 2 with no hope of retaining them is very, very dumb.

but in the case of brand recognition, i don't think there is anything you can actively do in season to change that? I mean.. i went 11-2 and then won the natty and they still left. My only thought to get brand recognition up is you got to win and win often and it may take a couple of years.

I'm not sure. What does it say on the My Team page?

basically to win, win big games, win primetime games, win playoff games, and win national titles.

It also counts appearances in the playoff games/national title games.

i just don't think you can really help your brand in season, on the fly like you could if someone wanted more playing time. Now, you can schedule tougher teams at the beginning of the year in hopes they will be primetime games.

Did that for me and WVU at halftime. Really weird.
Loved their backup QB, though. Immobile, and couldn't tell the difference between jerseys.
my first season, dominic orange did not play once. He was 2nd on the depth chart behind singleton and every time a sub would happen it was the guy who was listed as 4th on my depth chart and I think he was a made up guy with the last name Jofield?

That sounds great but I've already heard numerous people in this thread say Sama transfers after 1 year. I can't imagine that's becuase of lack of carries. If him and Cooper leave that easy that's a non-starter for me buying the game.

No thanks. I like the risk. Injuries on, wear and tear on.
After the Abu Sama pec tear, Carsen Hansen has been promoted to RB1. He has not been doing well. Dude gets injured every game. Arlen Harris (not even on the team anymore lol) is getting a lot of play. Thankfully I have a four star gem RB and a four star gem ATH (projected to be a RB) coming in as freshman next year.

I miss the mass substitutions button from the previous ncaas. Have to manually go in and get the bench skill players in the 4th quarter.
If I have an insane lead, the computer will make mass subs. But if I'm up 28 with 4 minutes to play (or conversely down 28), and want to save my players from unnecessary wear and tear, I'm having to go into the depth chart manually to bench players and make substitutions.

That's where the mass sub feature is severely missed.

Yeah, I guess if that's a difference maker for you, I suppose you don't have another option.
