Peace Tree is for sale

Good luck finding Blonde Fatale in the Des Moines area. Supply must be drying up. I went to several Hy-Vee and gas stations that usually have it and they were sold out. If I find a store that has any left I will buy it out.

If anyone comes across some Blonde Fatale you better scoop it up. Nearly every shelf in the Des Moines area is wiped out of Peace Tree beers. If they have any left its probably one of their sours. Drank the last Blonde Fatale in my fridge over the weekend and was hoping it was not my last but it looks like it may be.

Literally my beer of choice 90% of the time.

That really sucks.
We knew it was coming, but the abruptness of it, and she didn't even come down for the last day, that really left it in a bad way. But, I will say, I got a Cedar Ridge rum barrel that was 1/3 full of imperial stout when I stopped in to say fair thee well, so, that helped ease the pain.

I was in the Johnston one a few weeks ago and he said something exciting locally was coming soon. Asked if it was a collab, and he said "not really." This makes sense now.

I feel like half the draw for fongs is being right among the bars for the late night slices crowd. They'll kind of be out on their own over on east court
Probably front running the massive development projects coming to the Market District.. Plus Court Ave is dying

While im aware of that, that's still years away from really coming into existence, and even then that's kind of in the worst of both worlds- they're a couple blocks from most of the activity to the north, and a couple blocks from were most activity to the south will be.

And while court is definitely at a low point, all that is cyclical. It'll likely come around again. You could also just as easily say the area around this location is dying given in that immediate area you have the deaths of peace tree, 1717, barrel house, rrracks, etc

East Village bars are becoming more and more popular, but the old Peace Tree certainly isn't centralized to those.

Funny they say its away from from "downtown" when it's only going a half mile east and I think most people consider the east village to be downtown, for all intents and purposes.
