We just got 2.5 inches on Friday. I’ll pass on 2 more

For the average temp of 73.4, how do they come up with that? Is it just the average of the daily high and the daily low? Or are they using hour-by-hour temps, or minute to minute and time weighting it?

If the high is 85 and the low is 60. The 'average' would be 72.5. But if it's 80+ for like 16 hours during the day, then just briefly dips down to 60, is the 'average' temperature during the day really 72.5?

What do we got for weather activity this afternoon?
3-9 PM.

Threats of Tornadoes, hail initially up to 2", and wind which is a bit more prominent as the line evolves.

Best area to watch would be along and south of a line from Red Oak to Des Moines to Cedar Rapids... SE Iowa.

Those in DSM will want to watch Saylorville closely for the next two weeks. Current forecast is to pull it within 2 feet of spillway level. There is an additional 6 feet to give with the pneumatic gates that can lift in the spillway, but still getting a little too full for comfort downstream.
