Bracketology 2024

I think I'm done with this thread with the sheer amount of posters that come in with zero clue how the process works.

WHAT WE KNOW FOR SURE:
-Iowa State will be playing in Omaha the first and (hopefully) second rounds
-If ISU gets a 1 seed, we will be in the West region (unless we somehow jump UConn, Purdue, or Houston which won't happen)
-Assuming the committee is dumb and lazy and gives UNC the last 1 seed, we are in a battle with Tennessee and Marquette for the top of the 2 seeds.
-If we are the best 2 seed in the eyes of the committee, we will be in the Midwest region.
-If are not the best 2 seed, we will either be in the East or West region due to Houston being the #1 seed in the South and we can't be in their region.
-We (or at least I) do not want to be the East region with UConn. Anything else and I think we have a very realistic shot at a Final Four.
-NO MATTER WHAT HAPPENS, WE WILL BE PLAYING IN OMAHA ROUNDS 1 AND 2
My only critique would be the West region as a 2 seed. I don't think there is a way to get to the west as a 2 seed, assuming UNC is the 1. Knoxville and Milwaukee are closer to Detroit and Dallas than they are to Boston. Also Marquette couldn't go East.

Does anyone know when they announce next Thursday’s game times? Please dont respond unless you know. There is already too much misinformation on this thread.
They announce them as they are being played. Usually with a play by play, color commentator, and side line reporter.

Yeah I think the 2 seed in the West is extremely unlikely. I'd like to think with the win last night we're at worst the top 2 seed and get Midwest, but never know

We're honestly ahead of UNC in just about every metric except for the one the ACC (and espn as their mouthpiece) have been making a ton of noise about once they realized their garbage conference schedules would hurt them.

Question, in that graphic is the SoS the strength of the complete schedule or just the conference.

Because that would negate the whole non con being too weak, saying our overall sched is still very strong because our conference sos was so strong?

….and to be perfectly honest, I would prefer the #2 seed in the Midwest with the regional site being Detroit and Purdue being the #1 seed in the region.

People here saying Zona gets #2 because it’s close to LA and in the same breathe saying it then depends whether or not we finish above Tennessee or Marquette. This makes zero sense.

It isn't necessarily because its closest to LA but combined with LA being the furthest for the other three.

Also Detroit is the closest for all three of the other schools

3 hours to go. I won’t be disappointed no matter where ISU lands in the bracket. If this team can perform like they did this past week, they shouldn’t be afraid to play anyone/anywhere. The other team should be afraid of ISU!

I’m just going to sit back and enjoy what’s left of the season
