Joe Toussaint is Techs best player? Lol!
(Now that I've laughed at him he'll probably torch us tomorrow.)

What an idiot. FAU only has 3 Quad 1 wins and they have 2 losses against Quad 3 and 4 teams.
Here is what he had to say about KU, who he ranked at #8 although they are in 5th place in their own conference and their leading scorer is injured:

The Jayhawks are not rated among the top 20 teams in offensive efficiency and are rated 19th in overall defensive efficiency, yet have a record of 19-5 after 24 games. This is a team of tough competitors and Bill Self has done a fabulous job with it. Can Kansas beat anyone on a given day? Yes, it would appear so. Is this team a true national championship contender? Perhaps not yet. But if the NCAA tournament were to be played at Allen Fieldhouse, Kansas would win it.

Groundbreaking analysis there, alot of teams would probably win a national championship if they got all home games.

Bilas released his top 68 teams today. He has Wisconsin, BYU, and FAU all ranked ahead of us. He also has Bradley ahead of Drake even though they beat them on the road and are 2 games up on them in the standings.

What a total moron.
So no link and you don’t even say where Iowa State is ranked. Could you provide any insight?

Sorry, it's behind a paywall on ESPN+. He has us ranked 15th behind FAU, Wisconsin, and BYU.

"No. 15 Iowa State Cyclones: While Houston is the nation's toughest defensive team, Iowa State is in the same class as the Cougars. Iowa State leads the nation in turnover percentage (26.1%) and ranks third in turnovers forced (18.09), trailing only UTEP and Florida International. Iowa State is led by outstanding guards Keshon Gilbert and Tamin Lipsey, both of whom average over 13 points. Lipsey leads Iowa State in assists and steals and is an excellent rebounder.

A player to watch is freshman forward Milan Momcilovic, a skilled shooter who leads Iowa State in 3-point shooting and is the only Cyclone hitting over 40% from behind the arc. Iowa State has beaten Kansas and Houston at Hilton Coliseum and Texas on the road."

Too bad TJ hasn't done "a fantastic job" like Toupee Bill.

Eh. Nothing that was said is untrue. Looks like he clipped a pregame preview to be honest lol.

The Bilas ranking is OK, to a large extent.

The main thing I don't like about his 1-to-68 is he got it in his head several years ago that the tournament should select only top 68 at-large, with no auto-bids ... Perhaps that's "how it should be," but it ignores the point/spirit of D-1's tournament format. If it truly was no auto-bid, we should revert to a 32-team field (or at most, 40-team).

Cutting some slack, Bilas comes off as arrogant, but sometimes I think he's poking fun at the general idea of expertise (himself included) and uses hyperbole to suggest that with all the analytics "nobody really knows."

"The Bilas Index is the most reliable predictive measurement of team capability and the most trustworthy compilation of basketball accomplishment on this (or any) planet."

Despite the committee being stupid and putting Kansas and Baylor ahead of Iowa State because of the name on the front of the jersey, the computers REALLY love this team right now...

Auburn took a step down after losing to Kentucky earlier today.

Though this is kind of a WTF to me...

I'm assuming Torvik tweaked something after the committee's buffoonery today?
