One of my kids has been only going into office two days a week since he was hired. An in office baby shower was going on four hours, so he asked his boss if he could go home cause he had work he needed to get out for another department. She was fine with that. Not sure I have ever been to a 4+ hour baby shower but I guess it’s better than working.
If it's net pay it's like $115k/year gross or so, no?
And if you’re working corpo and schlepping (yearly)10k + to your 401k, 10k to an employee stock program, 6k to insurance/HSA, maybe an FSA for daycare, taking home 32 hundo sounds pretty good.
I took it as gross pay so $83k
$83k in Iowa goes a long way. $83k in one of the large metros, not so much. But if you are in one of those, you are probably at more than $83k for a data analyst type position (reference to Excel).
83k take home would be around 110k gross I’d guess. Not something to complain about depending on years.
I don’t think I had any salary job that was 40 hours. Probably averaged 50 hours. Some weeks were high20s some broke 100.
