My best strategy is just letting the snow chill up there until it’s ready to come down. That strategy seems to work every year so I stick with it.

What does tomorrow look like? Pretty much going to snow? And with the potential for weather next week what does that look like for snow melt, icy roads, etc?

I think Minneapolis has only had 8 inches of snow all year. Des Moines on the other hand had over 21 inches in 5 days.
It might not be the worst thing if we got a couple inches of snow tomorrow. That way they'd have to plow the streets again and hopefully they'd get rid of the stuff that was frozen on the roads for the last week and kind of got loosened up today.
Really need them to come back for another pass closer to the curbs around here. Ankeny (at least my part of ankeny) gets really bad about that so the roads get narrow
I know that they had a terrible week last week, but my street has about 3 inches of snow right now that today has sort of softened up enough that it will be a real mess when it freezes again. I just hope they can get it more clear before the rain (hopefully it is rain!) starts next week.

A series of storm systems will track from the eastern Pacific to the southern Rockies and then to the Midwest. So, what you are saying is, we could get an inch of rain, or 12 more inches of snow, or an ice storm, or all of the above...
24 in Des Moines today on my car thermometer. Feels like a heat wave.
I scheduled work on my gas fireplace for February 2nd, so I am pretty sure, with my luck, we are in for a warmer winter with less snow after Feb. 2nd.
