Regarding early next week "a warmer pattern change to southwest
flow aloft to above freezing temps and
unsettled weather. A series of storm systems will track from the eastern Pacific to the southern Rockies and then to the Midwest. Global models suggest temperatures in the 30s to lower 40s would keep the precipitation in the form of rain. However, negative feedback from the deep snow cover may keep temps lower and may introduce
mixed precipitation with these systems. Being this is still 5+ days out, confidence in
thermal profiles and temperatures remains low."
