I said it in another thread but I will say it again here. She reminds me of Ashley Paris when she came into the league. Hopefully she is like Courtney Paris before she is done.
She commented on her size regularly during the broadcast, but never in a demeaning manner, IMO.This seems very unlikely.
So everyone should start shouting "CEEEEEEEEEE" when she makes a play?ISU fans of a certain vintage also see a little Victor Alexander. Big frame, soft hands, good footwork.

Tonight was first time I saw her play and was impressed by hands catching passes and soft touch on shots.
I mentioned this multiple times back when she was in high school -- as long as she has the conditioning to stay in games and run the court, her size is an incredible advantage. How many times have we had skinny posts that could get bumped off the block easily or struggled to finish through contact?I mean as a basketball fan you have to talk about it.
That was the first thing that stuck out to me when I watched her. She’s got all kinds of potential.
It's an ethnic thing lolFlopperooski.
All words are better when you add ski to the end.

They are. She was in FD this summer at their Kemna store doing promotional work.I think Kemna Auto in Algona is already taking care of her
Sadly, my time at ISU predates Victor Alexander so I'm of an even older vintage. The starting center at ISU when I was a freshman was big-bodied Ron Falenschek from small-town Minnesota. Nice guy - he used to hang out at an old-time barber shop on Hyland Ave. I think he might live in Northfield, MN now...ISU fans of a certain vintage also see a little Victor Alexander. Ron was pretty firmly planted to the ground, as is Audi, but they made / make it work.

Dang…you’re an old bastard! I’m just a tad ahead of ICCYFAN. I was at ISU when men’s basketball was horrid and we all watched Lute Olson's Iowa teams. You're such a youngster.
Bill Cain was the beast in the paint at the Armory when I was a freshman.
Now it is going to bug me that I can't remember the name of that barber shop. Thanks.Sadly, my time at ISU predates Victor Alexander so I'm of an even older vintage. Big Vic is a great comparison! Crooks is far better than I expected, excited to see her develop. I figured she was your typical Iowa high school big-fish-in-a-small-pond but she looks like she can play against anyone so far. Really polished in the post, great hands, keeps the ball up high on rebounds which I love (so many players rebound then immediately bring it down low or dribble and get stripped/stolen). She is going to create match-up problems for anyone that doesn't have size in the post.ISU fans of a certain vintage also see a little Victor Alexander. Big frame, soft hands, good footwork.
