You're right--you didn't say you expected...but is 'seeing' that many wins about the same thing?
I was in the 5-7 camp which needed breaks. Oddly even after Ohio there's a chance of 7 happening.
You think ISU OCs run anything he doesn't want? Do you think he's historically given them the freedom to run whatever they want?
I mean, I also didn’t re-purchase tickets. I got an email about not purchasing yet, but didn’t look to see if it was from the assistant AD or not lol. Does that count as being sought out?
Unless Matt Campbell slept with his wife, I am not sure how you could have turned on the best coach in ISU modern history (maybe ever) and ignore these numbers.
As with most successful coaches, success means fans turn on you fast.
But it’s important to keep context. Some of the very same posters that are most anti Campbell on here are the same ones that were SURE he wasn’t going to make staff changes last year. How many times did some post about there’s no way he fires anyone because they are best friends? Or because he doesn’t fire them in his weekly press conferences? Lots.
But he did make those changes to the staff. And we all should have known there’d be growing pains. There are still plenty of growing pains this year.
its just hard to wrap your head around a coach that went from "BS programs care about 6-6" to year 3 of 6-6 is ok
I am not sure why fans don’t understand this. It’s not ok to him. He’s constantly working to be better. In addition I’d say 90% of his coach speak is standing up for his players. He doesn’t want them to give up.
It should be ok for the fans at times. And after 5 years of unprecedented success, a bad year is expected. And part of him not accepting it was new coaches. And that is not seamless.

Yes, the athletic department does follow up with season ticket holders in club seating. Especially when they've had season tickets for a long period of time. His concern was that I hadn't inadvertently missed a deadline. Just a professional courtesy. He acknowledged my concern.
No, I don't expect JP to fire CMC over me dropping my season tickets.
Yes, they still have my contact information.
Get some self respect if you can't see how CMC is being disrespectful to you and the University.

I must have missed the reason why you feel Campbell is disrespecting us and ISU. No need to elaborate for my benefit, just sorry you feel this way.
The one thing that irritates me more than anything is how many times he constantly talks about how hard it is to win here. Yes, we get it. Its not Alabama, Texas, Oklahoma, Ohio State, etc. And he's done a great job.
But I don't need to get hit the face every other press conference about it. Just like if I ever got married I wouldn't expect my wife to constantly tell me "you're a hard man to love". Its a true statement but if I'm told every day I'm an ugly mug, eventually, I'm not going to be as fond of the person telling me that.
Occasionally, that reminder is fine. But the constant reminder is a bit grating but that's just me. I think 95%+ Iowa State fans are well aware without the "a place like this or what we need to win here" etc... he's not wrong, I just don't know what purpose is that it serves anymore.
Certainly he understands what it takes, the players largely understand what it takes, the fans largely understand, etc. So I guess other than those who think we should win 9 games a year, of which I don't think there are many, I'm not sure who he's talking to. He's done a great job all in all but I'm not ignoring something if it appears there's a problem.
Appreciate everything he and staff have done but won't turn a blind eye. Both can be true.

That said, he's shown me everything I needed to see. I had a question of how stubborn he was going to be regarding the offense and how we called plays. He's shown that while he might be stubborn, he's willing to change, at least somewhat. Win, lose, or draw, that's all I wanted to see because that's how a program keeps winning - having a HC shown an ability to adapt and change and pivot from earlier success to maintain success. No matter if you're Iowa State or Bama.

Only that he says it 24/7. Its true, but I also don't hear the coaches at Kansas, Duke, or Fitzgerald at Northwestern non stop talk about how hard it was to win at these places.
I could care less about his temper or "trust the process" etc. Iowa State's not a Victoria's Secret model in terms of football programs or playboy centerfold. No agreeing that.
But it'd be nice to not be told we have to have a steak around a chain for the dog to play with us
Yep he’s purposely trying to only win 6 games a year now. That’s it. He’s not ok with it at all, but **** happens and he’s trying to get the team to improve and perhaps we exceed 6-6 going forward with this group.
