NFL: Kansas City Chiefs Thread

Would love to see the Chiefs have to face the 49ers in the Superbowl.

I have nothing against KC or Mahomes - just like how I used to be fairly neutral on Brady. BUT, when you start having refs make such egregious calls to protect the "stars" it makes you begin to actively root against them. A really crappy way for this game to have ended!
Jets have a great defense but they clutch and grab like mad on receivers.

Chief's allowed NY to get back into the game, we played poorly after the first quarter, but for those complaining about the hold, the Jets got a bad call went their way on a horse collar call that cost the Chiefs, and a spot that they gave them a first down, that he was short.

15 plays 45 yards 7 minutes 24 seconds.

Incredible scrambles by Mahomes.

Pacheco is so fun to watch.

400 yards of offense with very limited WR production.

Ugly wins are still wins.

Don't forget the face mask call resulting in the safety. The face mask clearly started at the 1 yard line.

I can’t wait for the FBI report on how Mahomes intentionally didn’t score to screw Ted from Waukee’s fantasy team.

It was a great heads up by Mahomes. Allowed them to kneel out the game. Never know what happens having to kickoff again.
True but it was a strange play, he could have scored easily which would have put the Chiefs up by 10 after the PAT. Jets had burned all their timeouts, so even if they return the kick, which were all but one going to the back line of the endzone, they would have had to get the on-sides kick and then kick a field goal to tie the game.

Mahomes was guilty of intentionally grounding but the refs swallowed their whistles. What bullsh*t non call.

Interesting that he has thrown 4 more picks than Purdy this season.
But Mahomes is at least 4x better. JFC go to bed. Its not even ******* close. Purdy MIGHT be a top 10 QB.

Crazy things happen in games all the time. Why not take that completely out of the equation and get to the kneel downs? For a team that hadn't been playing well the last 2 hours, it was better just to cement the win without any potential for mishaps.

Really surprised the thread name hasn't been changed "Tayor Swift Chiefs Thread" I am so fed up with the media drooling over her. Just like WHO TV sports guys and Caitlyn Clark. Just stop this BS!!

I thought the hold call was legit, the defensive player prevented MVS from being able to continue on his route progression and had he not held him he probably would have been wide open on that play. Every call the goes in the Chiefs favor late in games now always going to have some critics as they will say Mahomes is getting the Brady treatment with the refs. If you want to go back in the game I'm not going to defend Juwan Taylor as he's been making a lot of dumb mistakes all season but there is an argument to be made that the facemask penalty that resulted in a safety occurred before the defensive player was in the end zone. I was fine with the penalty because Taylor's made enough boneheaded mistakes up to the point it's hard to defend him but that's another one where it wasn't cut and dry they got that one right either.

I love Purdy but come on man he's not in the same conversation as Mahomes. The 49ers may very well win the super bowl if they can keep everyone healthy and they have far more superior weapons for Brock to throw to but hard to compare after 4 games a guy that hasn't even played a full season as a starter yet to a guy that's won multiple super bowls and MVPs.

I'm rooting for Brock and would love to see a 49er vs Chiefs super bowl but no team in the league would take him over Mahomes if they were given a choice who they would want as their QB.

Mahomes has thrown 143 times so far this year to Purdy's 112 and they are different type of passers as Mahomes will take some deep shots downfield or throw into some tight windows with pressure where Brock is not going to take as many risks. It's risk/reward with Mahomes as he is going to make some throws that have a high degree of dificulty that Purdy is likely not going to throw. I'd probably argue that the 49er's Oline is better than the Chiefs right now especially at the tackle positions. Chiefs middle 3 are about as good as anyone's interior 3 but the 2 tackles have made a lot of mistakes so far this year and not given Mahomes good edge protection.

Look, I didn't say Purdy was better than Mahomes, at least not yet. I said it was interesting that Mahomes (who is widely considered the NFL's top QB) has thrown 4 more interceptions than Purdy.

You say Purdy "is not in the same conversation as Mahomes" and it's not fair to compare them given Purdy hasn't quite played a full season. Okay, I guess we could compare their rookie years, but Mahomes only got to play in 1 game his rookie year while Purdy has been setting franchise records.

Time will tell how great of a career Purdy will have. But right now, I can't think of any NFL QB in history (including Patrick Mahomes) who's gotten off to a better start.

Not sure this isn't all a PR stunt for her movie release.

Not much of a Chiefs fan and less a "Swifty". Easy decision to change the channel.

I don't think Taylor needs help selling tickets.
