Can finally confirm that snipes are real birds. Had never spied one until late this afternoon. Was beginning to feel like Frazier in the Cheer's episode where they took him "snipe" hunting.

We had a nice little shore ex this morning...took a little wooden two-masted boat around a couple of islands and anchored in a cove so we could swim for a bit in the Aegean. Nice, easy, relaxing...
So what do these two old farts do afterward? Why, we go climb a steep hill in the heat of the afternoon to score a geocache.
DAMN, we're stupid!

Managed the dreaded and awkward mattress rotate and flip without hurting myself or breaking anything in the bedroom.
went hiking on saturday and there was a tree branch in our way. I tried to hulk that thing above my head so the kid/wife could get through and as soon as i lifted i felt that "POP" in the middle of my back and instantly knew i just jacked it up.

Trying to get rid of this ground hog. Set a trap and baited and everything. Nothing. Pull onto the farm today and take care of some texts and emails. All of a sudden I see the bastard run under my pickup and into a few weeds. Not enough time to grab the gun behind the seat, uncase it, load it and pop it. At least I know where it is and can move the trap.

Yo any RTTers need a pair of mobile passes for tomorrow hit me up. Travelling today but will make connections so you can get them by tomorrow.

This will sound crazy but a little part of me misses baling hay.

My only "experience" with bailing was pulling into a barn yard with my dad as a little boy. Father was a fuel delivery guy for D-X back than. Was watching from the truck as they hooked and hoisted bails into the barn, old school style. And, a guy got his hand caught as the hook closed. Was pretty bloody. Wasn't the last time my dad's old WWII medic experience came in handy. Still have a letter he wrote me while I was in college. He pulled into a farmyard right after some guy had mangled himself in an auger. Medical peeps said later if my dad hadn't been there he'd likely to have maybe bled to death. After that he added a tourniquet kit to his truck gear.
