What kind of question is that?

Offense had 250 yards of offense.

That’s not awesome. It is perfectly fine to want our offense to be a little be better than that, to put together more 3rd down conversions than we did, to go 3 and out less than we did, to score more than 1 time in the second half against an FCS team. That’s not at all “too much to ask”.

It’s a good win, and yeah it was pretty comfortable. Doesn’t at all mean the offense was great. Or even good at times. Because it wasn’t.
Once they were up 30-0, CMC had no reason to try to score more points or move the ball up and down the field. Just get the game over without having anyone get hurt was the primary objective starting in the mid 3rd quarter. Hence why they had a total of 33 yards after the first drive of the second half

Look at it this way.. they were on pace for 450 or so yards before they pulled back the reigns

I agree, kind of. Not what we hoped to see from the offense, but, no turnovers, flashes of power. To me, the offense must build. Let's see how it goes the next few weeks.

Pathetic Offensive effort. Way to not help out the defense.
Pathetic take.

New OC, New QB, New backs, new receivers.

Showed with 2 drives in middle of game they could take it over.

Did plenty to win and then some.

Did they set the world on fire, of course not.

Maybe it was all the turnovers that reminded you of last year?

I must have been watching a different game because I thought our offense looked very good. We had over 100 yards rushing against a good team. We didn't have many negative yardage plays. Our quarterbacks looked good. Our receivers caught the ball. You people are looking at the stat sheet instead of the scoreboard. Once we got the solid lead in the third quarter, we went very vanilla on offense. I don't see anything wrong with that. This year's offense is way better than last year. I think the teams are pretty even next week and the game will be won in the margins.

You, indeed, must have been watching a different game. Outside of a couple Sama runs and one Norton run, we did nothing on the ground. The WRs were rarely even targeted. We did what we had to do, but a long way from "very good."

I honestly think you would be happier if ISU lost
He absolutely would.

He'll tell you how if he was coaching they would have their **** together. Had to be a really disappointing day for him. Every time he popped up like a gopher with a new display of ignorance, he got hammered.

Hang in their Zuri, you'll have your chance to dance on some ISU losses this season.

Gene Stallings would have LOVED this game today.
I thought it was a great Cyclone Victory.

Offense wasn’t any good. I don’t agree with letting off pedal like what was done in the second half. With so many new faces, more in game reps are needed, not less. Would like them to get use to scoring touchdowns, not getting comfortable going 3 and out.

But the improved special teams will be the difference in some of these one possession games and will likely be the difference in going to bowl game vs staying home at the end of the season.

They aren't fans. They are cowards that pop in and throw a bunch of **** against the wall, if something sticks, gives them a chance to puff their chest.

You have to remember there a segment of CFers struggled when ISU made an NCAA tourney the last two years.
