Sometimes I just can't fathom the logic (or lack thereof) of some people on the board. ESPN owns ACC on the cheap. ACC ego teams want more, now! Pac12 in desperation wants to merge with ACC? Which effectively would eliminate the ACC GOR, which opens up litigation from ESPN for them not fulfilling the contract OR even worse yet opens them up to market negotiations for a new media contract. I just can't see enough money coming to the table at this time for that no matter who is involved.
Exactly and ESPN doesnt want to pay the PAC, do you really think they would be ok with adding them to the ACC.
They could open the ACC up to defections, if they tried that, and then all end up in worse shape than they are now.

I'm behind and might end up eating crow on this but I still think Arizona comes aboard. This is last second desperation by the PAC
No you're actually right back to the beginning lol if you read through everything, the PAC meeting and deal fell completely through once again, and Oregon and Washington are again ready to take the B1G deal.

WHAT THE **** IS HAPPENING lol. An hour ago the conversation was completely flipped and they were going to sign this GOR and they didn't want the B1G deal. Now it's right back to where it was last night in that they're waiting to sign off..

So it sounds like they got their numbers last night from B1G, told the B1G they weren't going to take the deal, told ole GK to fire up another meeting baby, let's sign that piece of **** deal, which then made the B1G come back with another offer?

If I'm Arizona and hear that Oregon and Washington are back in B1G talks not even 12 hours later, I'm leaving yesterday.
If UW and Oregon go first they will get more money, if they wait for zona to bolt my guess is the big10 will stay pat at not full shares. tell them we dont need you, you need us.

The biggest lesson from this is that the networks aren't the bottomless pits of money a lot of us, myself included, thought they were.

Streaming wars have been really irrational in terms of annual profit/loss.

Studios/media/tech media have intentionally lost money for 5-6 years hoping to make sure they get to be a provider, not just content creator. So far only YouTube/Google backed out of the insanity and the rest are still slave to it.

I work in merchandising so it doesn’t affect me as much (unless the strike goes a full year) but it’s exactly why WGA and SAG are on strike, the studios/networks/streamers are all pumping out 3x more content yet finding tricky labor f***ing ways to do it at maybe 1.5x the cost.

Unless the B1G give UO and UW and outright "no" I don't see a scenario where they don't jump, even at a low ball number. The long term payoff is just too much to turn down, even if it will hurt in the short term. Imagine if ISU was offered a reduced share to get into the B1G. What's the lowest number we would take to do so?

Michale Crow likely not working in the best interest of his current school, and hoping to keep the school he wants to go to in their traditional conference.

Scheming climbers gonna scheme.

Those three schools need to talk to one another and get this **** figured out. I have like two more things I have to do this morning for work before I'm golfing this afternoon, and I can't get that done with all the yelling!

The combined conference would get money. This is a pretty decent lineup at the top.

Oregon
Washington
FSU
UNC
Duke
Virginia
Clemson
Arizona
Pitt
Miami
Again, there's not enough media money left to make that happen. Especially, since your biggest player (ESPN) has them by the gonads on the cheap and the GOR to litigate on their behalf.

Sounds like the PAC made a full court press through the media to try and change momentum.
