So now the Big 12 has killed the Southwest Conference and the Pac 12. Wonder who is next on their radar.
SEC or bust, loser. So now the Big 12 has killed the Southwest Conference and the Pac 12. Wonder who is next on their radar.
To be fair to NC State I have seen a lot of their fans online say they would be perfectly happy in a big 12 configuration if they came with Pitt, Louisville and another teamThe idea of growing to 20 teams or something like that when 6 or more of those schools are “dragged here,” sullenly kicking the dirt about being stuck in a stupid truck-stop conference instead of playing “real” football, is not enticing to me.
You don’t want to be here ASU, Utah, Washington? You think you deserve an SEC or B1G spot Va Tech, NC State, Miami? Fine … be that way, we’ll keep on working at Conference #3 and you can enjoy your time in the MWC or New Big East.
The B12 is as united now as it has ever been since the Big 8 days, probably (Texas was probably grateful for maybe a year when we saved them from the SWC, maybe) - don’t mess that up by bringing in multiple schools who will just ***** and moan about being “forced” to join. Especially if they’re not going to eventually boost the per-team media payout and not just siphon another share from bowl money.
There's a beaver out there looking for a home as well....just sayin'.If I had two cougars, I wouldn’t care how exhausting it was. They can take the life from my body.
I was just using them as an example, not picking on them (or Va Tech) specifically. To be fair to NC State I have seen a lot of their fans online say they would be perfectly happy in a big 12 configuration if they came with Pitt, Louisville and another team

what dont people get about that?

its the same thing
The narrative has been that if multiple schools are indeed moving to the B12, they will be announced together, to avoid seeming like any one school is blowing up the PAC. I just wish these schools would take a huge jab at the B10 for creating this mess, but it just shows that everyone bows to the B10 in the current landscape because they have the biggest current contract. Hopefully this changes over the coming years. What is the actual status of Arizona right now, the Big 12 has invited them but the Arizona Board of Regents hasn’t let the Arizona President accept yet?
Because it seems to me the Arizona Board of Regents doesn’t want to split up the schools and ASU’s President is currently working a last ditch effort to keep the PAC together. That doesn’t feel to me like Arizona is a sure thing yet (which could change very quickly but not as of right now).
I don’t know if “invite“ is the right word. The B12 has voted to accept Arizona’s application if they choose to apply - the ball is in Arizona’s court, they know for a fact they’re in if they want. And they’ll decide, like, very soon. What is the actual status of Arizona right now, the Big 12 has invited them but the Arizona Board of Regents hasn’t let the Arizona President accept yet?

if AZ gets cold feet, they're going to regret it.

I think AZ is in, tooArizona is going. Crow and ASU who knows. Utah goes with ASU. And Oregon wants B1G along with Washington. They are gone. Might be entertaining to watch Utah and ASU choose to stick with Stanford and Cal in this realignment. When they sign their Apple deal they will not be watched.
Is anyone else reporting this? How the hell or why the hell would they sign that?
