Still making me pay a quarter for a cart?

**** them sideways if they are

If there’s one thing we’ve learned from this thread it’s that Knapp hates the pocket jingle. I think we can safely rule him out as the dime bandit.

That sounds like a significant rounding up of labor costs (there’s no way they’re paying $20/hr and there’s no way it takes 2 hours to shop, check, and bag even my absurd orders) and completely ignoring any revenue. Grocery is a low-margin industry, and I don’t see how they would promote Aisles so actively if they are losing 5-6 figures a week (see what I did there with the rounding?).
Please remember the cost of an employee is not simply wage or salary. There is employer paid taxes, benefits, workers comp, etc. All the stuff we employees like to act like does not happen when we complain about our base pay and employers.

At some point everything came in glass bottles so It makes sense. Lemon-Lime Gatorade in the stubby glass bottle definitely hit differently than the current plastic set up.

I feel like I have a memory of peeling off the labels of Hy Vee glass bottles that the label was made of that styrofoam type material and covered the bottom half of the bottle? They were larger than 12 ounces but not 2 liters...I am getting old so it could be my memory tricking me!

I remember being at Hy-Vee headquarters(Chariton) during the late 80's or early 90's and their pop machines only had Hy-Vee pop. I think the mountain dew version was called "Hee Haw" and Dr Pepper was "Dr. Thunder".

Speaking of hy-vee and pop. I remember working there in high school in the customer service area, where we use to collect cans. I made a killing on Pepsi points and Marlboro miles.

So, it's loaded to the fuel saver account, but you can use it in the store?

I went to the Waukee Hy-Vee this evening between 8 and 8:30. 2 Hy-Vee security officers just hanging out. What the crap? Get rid of them and lower prices! BTW, Pepsi 6 packs (16.9 oz) are now $6.29 at Hy-Vee, how much are they at Wal-Mart? Why they are $3.88! Hy-Vee is 62% HIGHER FOR THE SAME DANG THING!!!
