Three schollies will probably go to:
Keshon Gilbert from UNLV
Jackson Paveletzke from Wofford
Curtis Jones from Buffalo
Where’s everyone hearing Curtis Jones of Buffalo? I couldn’t find his name in the portal and you can’t search his name.

I do have a question whether he has 2 years or 1 - depending on whether he played at Indian Hill for a year or not.

EDIT: nevermind, that would be the COVID year anyway - he has 2 to play

As it relates to the “We need more big guys!” Crowd: People need to remember who TJ is as a coach and understand the makeup/style of the past two years was more out of necessity than want. TJ was an integral part of Hoiball. Look at how he’s recruited HS. He wants that offensive firepower, he wants that combo of skill speed, and size that you don’t get with traditional big men. he knows that too much pressure on the defense can be counter-productive and that alleviating that pressure comes with trade-offs.

People should be happy because if Omaha and Milan pan out as pontificated then BRE won’t be playing that much anyway and no plodding big man will play in our optimal setup.

IM still shocked we are not going after a big. They must be expecting Omaha and Momcilovich to help out with Jones and Ward.
Why would we? We desperately need guards after losing Holmes, Gabe, and Grill. Not to mention how poor our offense was even with them. We still have Jones who will hopefully be beat out by King, who wasn’t eligible until second semester. Ward, who was way behind compared to everyone else because he didn’t get here until several months after everyone else with his visa issues.

Omaha, Millan, Fish(Ejim Jr), Gilbert, Hamilton, and potential Jones all add some nice size to the roster as well. We don’t HAVE to have someone 7’.

Not to mention landing a top Big12 caliber C would cost a lot more than our NIL can afford. We can get by a year until JT Rock gets here.

Fish is nowhere near Melvin Ejim. Let’s not get crazy

But close to 40 pounds lighter. I think the team next year is going to be faster but less physical than this years team.
Agree. A lineup with Lipsey, Jones, and Pav would be quite small.. Thankfully with the portal success we could sub in to a lineup of Gilbert, Jones and Williams to get more size and length. Forwards Milan, Omaha, and Tre King would still be able to stretch and shoot with Pav on the bench. Versus 2022/23 when we ran out lineups with Gabe, Holmes, Watson, Tre and BRE..

National Champs.. Only 2 guys on the team over 6'9" listed at center and 3 players over 225#

Final 4 team.. Only 1 guy on the team is over 6'9" listed at center and only 1 player over 225#

----

Final 4 team.. Only 1 guy on the team is over 6'9" listed at center and 3 players over 220#

------

Final 4 team.. Only 2 guys on the team over 6'9" listed at center and 4 players over 225#

---

Elite 8 roster.. 0 guys on the team listed over 6'9" listed at center and 0 players over 225#

The 6'10-6'11" center is REALLY hard to find in modern college basketball.. All 300+ D1 teams want to find them.. Having only BRE over 6'10 and only BRE, King, and Ward over 225# isn't going to be a problem

Don’t tell TJ that, the guy who recruited both. Unless you just have junior/senior Ejim in your mind and forget what he was coming out of HS then you’re obviously making a different comparison.
I'm just thinking style of game is very different. Fish is a close to rim post guy. Where as Ejim flourished mid range
