God love em but Gabe and Grill couldn't dribble. Did not try to get to the rim from the arc. Making them a liability because you just had to guard them on the perimeter.Believe me I want guys to come in and be great, but I'm just going to temper my expectations on these two if they commit. 36% from 3 on 35 makes isn't exactly setting the world on fire.
They look like they can drive, distribute, and defend, but that doesn't really change the roster makeup we've had the last two years. Still wouldn't have a single knockdown shooter on the roster for next season if these are the two additions, and that scares me. Of the two I feel Gilbert at CG would be the best fit though. In Otz we trust.
When a college player is shooting over 40%, I find myself looking for what wrong with them. They usually come with a lot more cons (slow and unathletic, don't play defense, can't handle the ball and create their own shot).
Best case scenario is you find guys that are 37% from 3 and can do everything else well.
Look at the way Fran has composed the Iowa roster and do the opposite
