Don't give up. There's a train of thunderstorms lined up from Des Moines to KC and it looks like they'll be moving through central Iowa from now to around 11pm.
Isn’t that the cold front just moving through? I doubt that it’s just going to go in a straight line from KC to DSM.
In Urbandale it just finished. Had some really nice rain with all this tonight. Looks like the next 5-7 days are going to be beautiful outside of maybe a little cool and windy tomorrow.
I’m seeing a lot of low 80s next week. Beats the heck out of last years very cold and windy April.
Some time in the next two weeks suddenly the outside will look like a completely different world for green grass, flowers, etc.
Then it will be pretty nice for three weeks and then just really Fing hot for 3 months.
Last week there was concern over a pattern lasting a couple weeks into April with a lot of severe weather. Apparently that's over after just four days? No complaints but I wonder what changed.
You know what..........bring it on. There may have only been a few brutal cold spells this winter.......but it just seemed like it wouldn't let go. I'm more than ready.
The north woods is just piles of snow right now. In some ways I'd rather just have it one way like that instead of being teased and then seeing more snow just when it's clearing out.
