There are like 5 people in the building and we have hotel cubicles set up for people that don't have a desk to set up to work. So naturally someone (I have no clue who) comes in and sits in the cube right next to me (not a hotel cubicle) and proceeds to talk on the phone the entire time
Are they marked and well-lit? Maybe a buzzer in the seat cushion? Can't assume everybody knows where not to sit. Just funnin' ya. I would be "irritated."

Last time I was in the UK I had to put my key into a slot in my room to turn the electricity on. Then you have certain plugs that had on/off switches as well, so you could plug in the iron and it wouldn't get hot because you for got to turn the outlet on. It was kinda nice once you got used to it because you could leave lights on and when you left the room when you grabbed your key it would turn the lights all out.
When you came back you put your key back into the slot the lights would come on again
They had that on our ship in NZ. It's all well & good until you realize that it wreaked havoc with my CPAP, being turned on & off frequently. When I figured it out, I started unplugging it when I woke up. But it took several nights of fighting with it before I realized the issue.

I did like the concept; like you said, though...people (me) have to adjust to it. :)

I have an outlet like that in my house. Took me a while to figure out what that switch controlled
As far as we have found a year and a half in it is the only switch in the house that controls an outlet. There is one switch in the basement we can't figure out what it controls so maybe that one does too. I hate electrical. There need to be better codes for how electricians can combine things on a circuit too. Not this willy nilly grab something from here and something from there to call it good.

At least you don't have a double switch where the top or right controls hall ceiling lights and the bottom/left controls some outlets in those halls.
Or a double switch with the right controlling the top half of outlets along two walls in a room, and the bottom/left controlling the bottom half of those same outlets.

Are those Tootsie Pops?

Lindt chocolates.

The tree rats are chewing the ends of the silver maple branches off to lick the sap so they were hanging out in the yard a lot. Lot of buds and flower littering the ground. It's an every spring thing and does do quite a bit of damage. The big wood rats, aka deer to some peeps, have been hanging out and eating the stuff dropped by the tree rats. Took me a while to figure that one out. Saw 14 of the big rats last week in my yard and neighbors. Neighbors yews and arborvitae are gnawed bare. Most any shrub I didn't completely cover is just gone. Korean lilac was gnawed to the ground by deer and rabbits, nothing let of it.

Those always worry me, thinking about what else is planned or being carried out elsewhere because the LE availability is necessarily limited, at least for a while.

We built our house 20 years ago. I still have no idea what one switch does.
We have a switch that currently does nothing but I know that it was put in just in case we decided to put a ceiling fan in the dining room. At the time, interior designers were discouraging ceiling fans because they were deemed to be unfashionable.

My parents have that in their finished basement. It was setup so that if you could put a pool table light in (ceiling fan would be difficult in the basement).

That said my parents remodeled just before I moved out. They ended up changing which switch did what in the same location so every time I go home I end up just flipping switches until I get the result that I want.
