This was his 5th season of college basketball and 3rd team. Fardaws is 24 and would turn 25 in the middle of next season. I'm surprised he wouldn't just turn pro. Especially with all the injury problems.

He'll get a waiver though if he wants with the Adams situation.
4th team

Mercer
Utah valley
Texas tech
TBD

True, but there are plenty that don't rebuild that quickly. Don't sell TJ short. For every TJ, there is a Porter Moser.
You are correct. All of that is contingent of making the correct hire. I think the only way you can possible screwed in CBB anymore is if you are stuck with a deadweight head coach who isnt getting fired or taking another job.

Kenny Payne had a god awful season at Louisville this year. But if he did get fired this offseason I don't think even a season that terrible needs a seasons long rebuild to be back in the tournament again

Yeah, I meant Tech was his 3rd team.

He was alright when he was healthy and actually played but wouldn't think he'll be a top transfer in the portal like last year. It's tough to judge with how much of a mess Tech's team dynamics were this year but he didn't exactly seem like the best teammate either.

If you're a P6 coach and don't make the tournament in your first 3 years, you should be gone.

You've got every single advantage from scheduling to recruiting to the selection process itself.

Agreed. Unless there's some very special circumstances then you should absolutely do that now.

Jobs like Northwestern, Nebraska, and DePaul I think get special exceptions due to how god awful those programs have been.

Im starting to think two elite scoring guards to replace Gabe and Jaren may be all we need in the portal. We should have everything and more to sell to an elite scorer who wants to come into the Big 12 and average 15+ ppg.

Lose our top FIVE leading scorers - Check
Emerging pass first PG - Check
High caliber roster and elite recruits - Check
Maui Invitational - Check
Best conference in the country - Check

I was impressed with him when they played UNI in December. Didn't have a great shooting day but he played really hard and was obviously their leader on the floor. Long, athletic defender as well.

Any chance the TT guys who transferred once already get a waiver to play immediately? I have no clue what the rules are now, but if Adams was “abusive”, does that change anything? I want nothing to do with Aimac, but Jaylon Tyson would be a great fit IMO.

If I had to guess that is why the kid mentioned "off court issues with staff". He's paving the way to play immediately.

Timberlake has already played 5 years with Towson - I'm guessing he got a medical redshirt for his FR year and then the COVID year?

No idea if he can play defense at all - but he's the exact kind of mature leader and volume scorer that our team will need at the '2' next year

His size and age… looks like a TJ transfer archetype.
