Caleb Grill has been dismissed from team

Ok, and you guys continue to support the biggest trainwreck on college basktball right now. Dude from Alabama is an accessory to murder and is fine but obviously Grill is too much drama for this coaching staff to handle.
Like I said. Quit watching or caring for that matter. Save us from your blather. It would be good for us and you as well. You seem to be a bit unhinged.

I will!!! Next game I'll watch is November 2023, done with this fragile team right now, waste of the last month. Now, we are just kicking out the best players for who knows what.
So it's a deal. No more posts out of you until November? Deal? Yes or no.

Unless it’s real bad I hate this. It’s March 1 and the kid has played injured for a month. Get through the year and then have a discussion about what the future looks like.

Exactly! These guys played the season with the hopes of a tourney run. I don’t think there is any doubt there will be more shakeups/transfers after this season concludes. Staff has already erased the marker board for 22/23.

I make a point to not be overly critical of players/coaches but the reaction and meaning change of this thread title is proof all fans really just cheer for laundry.

That’s not necessarily a bad thing. We are the least talented team in the conference. Finally some big 12 caliber athletes coming in next year.

There's only two reasons I can think of for why this would be done now versus the far easier route of him not playing and leaving after the season.

1. He did something that they are getting out in front of (this seems unlikely to me, but always a possibility in situations like this).
2. It is locker room/relationships/attitude related and it was done now to try and salvage the rest of the season. We have all seen that something has felt off about the team for the better part of a month, I don't tend to think the blame could ever be put on one individual, but this could be an action to try and remove some of the issue and reset the remaining group.
My guess is #2, Jones said something after OU game in a postgame locker room interview about guys worried about shooting too much instead of spreading the ball- something like that. idk what was meant by that, but it caught my ear. My thought on this downward spiral would seem to happen from the inside about something going on with a player/s.
I hope he is ok and the team can bounce back and enjoy playing again.

#2 is close-ish. I’ll say it again, don’t bite the hand that feeds you. (Read between the lines)
