The only poll that matters ranked us #11 in the country on Saturday morning...

I wonder if Chad has spent so much time playing with himself, while looking at B1G basketball that he's gone cross eyed... Poor guy, probably needs an intervention

Wherever I go, there I am.
LOL i love that he lists his email there. I hope people bombard that douchecanoe.

Northwestern is top 15 for him and Iowa State is unranked despite the committee saying we're a top 12 team? Cool o.

@ChrisMWilliams , leistikow not even having ISU ranked at all in his top 25 smacks of Hawkeye homerism. What is this guy's problem?

ISU will play 20 Quad 1 teams this year

Arizona and UCLA less than 10

Bama and Vols less than 15

Big Ten schools 12 to 15

Scheduling also.plays a role in seeding

Some people haven't adjusted to the new world.

It used to be all that mattered was essentially the quantity of wins.

Now we're wiser than that. Not all wins and losses are created equal.

3-5 against a Big 12 stretch is probably better than 5-3 in other conferences.

Maybe they'll get with this century sometime.

The committee didn't say we were a top 12 team. They said we have a top 12 resume. That's not the same thing, and it's obvious a lot of our fanbase doesn't understand the difference.

In life, give me what you've done > What you could be

The AP poll is so beyond worthless, it's hysterical.

Oh, results and potential both are important to look at. You could be really good but have a tough schedule or bad luck and your results are not so great. Or vice versa, maybe you are just lucky you shot well in your tougher games and won. I am referring here to sports more than life.

Agree on the AP poll - it is just a general measure of who has the least-recent loss. Lose and you go down a little, winners go up by default until they lose and then they go down. It's dumb. And over half the voters are not paying attention to 80% of what's going on. One wonders that it still exists in the age of Bartovik and Kenpom and Sagarin...

Minimal difference to the computers in K-state football from 2022 and ISU football from 2021...

One played in the Sugar Bowl and won the Big 12 Championship, the other finished 7-6

Results > Predictions

You are what your record says you are.
You're a smart guy. You really can't differentiate between how a team is playing and what their resume earns in seeding?

Being ranked 23rd is completely fair. As is having the 11th best resume. We aren't playing as efficient as we were a month ago. Our fans are so biased and delusional sometimes.

You are what your resume says you are in the eyes of the committee. It is really all that matters.
That's not my point. The AP Poll voters and the NCAA Committee are not ranking the same thing. It's not a difficult concept at all, and I'm kinda shocked how many people in this thread and on Twitter are completely missing the point.

Right, the AP poll measures a bunch of worthless opinions with rampant recency bias and the NET is based on how good you actually are.

Iowa State is #14 on Torvik when you use data from the whole season.

Filter the model to start at February 1 and you end up with this.

We're not playing worse. The schedule is just that much more difficult.
