*** Official Oklahoma State vs #11 IOWA STATE Game(Day) Thread ***

Settles has been pretty good, IMO. It was funny once when he questioned a call, and said something like, "Just don't let ISU fans here you say that was a good call, they'll throw something at you and hit me instead!" Haha.
Doesn’t know the big 12 that well and it shows.

Feels like we should be up a dozen at this point. Hopefully allowing them to hang around like this doesn't come back to bite us.

What the **** was that **** possession?
our end of game end of half plays/execution leaves a lot to be desired. Even TCU wasn't good, Gabe just bailed us out with heroic shot

Maybe a bit of a flop from Jazz*

The only time jazz has been a widely popular music is during the Swing Era (roughly 1935 to 1946). Really, ever since then, jazz has been a musical subculture—sometimes breaking out into the mainstream with the odd hit (“Take Five,” “Watermelon Man,” “The Sidewinder,” “Birdland,” etc.), but generally remaining below the mass-culture radar.

Why has this been the case? There’s no single reason. It’s a combination of several factors, among them: 1) much of post-swing jazz was not particularly danceable (try dancing to “Salt Peanuts”); 2) some post-swing jazz is not easily accessible music (avant-garde or free jazz, post-bop, etc.); 3) corporations would rather market music that’s easily accessible, especially to young audiences; 4) many jazz musicians have been conscientious about developing their musical skills, but haven’t given much thought to how to appeal to audiences that might not already be jazz fans. And musicians who do actually think about appealing to a broader audience are often vilified by jazz purists. (Full disclosure: I used to do some of this vilifying myself.)

A quest for the most difficult shot we could find. Every cut and every movement seemed designed for just that.

I had to see who you were quoting as I had them ignored. Checked and yep, that's why.

It's like in 8 seconds time, a team with NOT the length like ISU doesn't have much time to get a good look if OSU takes it away.

Wasn’t that Chuckie that said that?

Arby's voice over guy and Burger King jingle singer are trapped in a car teetering on a cliff and you can only save one. Who you got?

I know Holmes has made some good shots late in games, but every time he has the ball with about 12sec to go in the half or game, it’s seems it’s always a black hole and he has tunnel vision and makes a sloppy play.
