Buffalo Bills Damar Hamlin

They didn't show anything after a replay of him getting up and then falling back down. Just way zoomed out shot of the field.
I saw the trainers started yelling a bit and seemed to have a sense of urgency so i was worried something major was up.

Well ultimately it's up to the players. If they refuse to take the field there won't be a game, and I doubt there would be any repercussions because it would be a terrible look.
Sure, but officially it's the NFL making the call, and I found that kind of surprising.

This isn’t a rec league. It’s a multi billion dollar business. Of course the league office had to make the final call.
Not necessarily. I'm pretty sure in plenty of other sports league, including MLB and a lot of soccer leagues. The officials can call the game. It doesn't have to be the league

Not sure why everyone is so mad at the NFL. It's only been just over an hour since the injury occurred. They suspended the game and more than likely gathered all the information they could and talked to both teams. They probably were waiting for accurate info on Hamlin's condition and when it was found it wasn't improved or worsened, they postponed the game. All within an hour. That is pretty quick IMO.

Right or wrong some people dislike Goodell and that probably figures into a lot of the opinion.

Their initial decision was to give the teams 5 minutes to get ready, and then resume play. From the look of things, the teams might have refused, because the coaches went and talked to the referees, and that's when they all left the field, and the longer stoppage was announced. I'm sure we'll hear more about what all went down, but if the league initially wanted them to resume play after 5 minutes, it's not going to be a good look.

It wouldnt surprise me if the 5 minutes thing is just what the rules call for. So that was the default move. They obviously quickly realized that wasn't going to be adequate.
