Biggest year-to-year jump

I'm going to throw an old-school name out there: Marc Urquhart. Didn't score a lot but went from last guy on the bench as a freshman to starter as a senior. Also recorded the first triple-double in school history in 1989. He was also a brilliant student and is now an orthopedic surgeon.

Probably not the biggest, but Matt Thomas was a 33% 3pt shooter and defensive liability that got 15 minutes/game as a sophomore. He went from that to solid defense and 43% shooting as a junior, which eventually got him a cup of coffee in the NBA.

3 seasons and $4.1 million in salary - that's quite the cup of coffee.

That was just a change in role not necessarily an out of nowhere jump in production. He played big minutes on a national runner up team as a freshman, his usage just went way up when Trey Burke, Tim Hardaway and Mitch McGary (RIP) left the team.
 
I think the biggest year-year jump is Keegan Murray. Role player with a career high of 12 pts became a lottery pick the very next season.

The biggest jump from my time as a fan is Ejim from Junior to Senior year. He was a beast as a Junior averaging nearly a double double, but I dont think anyone saw him scoring 18ppg and being BXII player of the year as a senior, including the 50-some point game against TCU

Ya I disagree. He wasn't posterizing people every game his first year.

Up until his senior season, he averaged about 3 PPG for his career in spot duty/mop-up minutes. Can anyone smarter than me come up with any other example of a player on any team taking that kind of leap from one year to the next?

Scottie pippen - team manager his freshman year

Went from 4.3pts/3 reb at an NAIA school (Central Arkansas) to 18.5pts/9.2 Reb the next season and of course to a historic NBA career

Why did you do a RIP after Mitch McCary. He is not dead.
