Snyder's 83. I'll give him a pass and at least he owned up to it.

If he was a true modern tweeter he'd just double down on the original mishap no matter what.
Agreed. And not sure about Leach’s family, but it would be out of character for him to take offense.

I can’t think of another coach that is as universally loved like everyone loves leach. I mean even when we were going against his good Tech teams I still like the guy. I know it seems inevitable, however, if there was one guy I would love hear talk about him not dying, it would be him.

Not really related, but I'm a little surprised you don't see more coaches having major health problems. A lot of them are old and in a stressful job and maybe not the best at taking care of their health.
Agreed. Especially with hypertension and things like that. Makes more sense why people like Chris Pederson and Bill Cowher stepped away young.

Oh yeah you'd get the most epic response "coach what are your thoughts on death"....he would make you laugh, cry, think, laugh some more and the words would stay with you.

Most u are aware??

Hal Mumme and Mike Leach coached together at Iowa Wesleyan in Mt. Pleasant in '89-'91. Birth of spread offense in some circles. Coached at Kentucky together when Mumme was head coach.

Guess who was a receiver for them in '91....Dana Holgerson. He followed them around at Kentucky and the with Leach at TTU.

Mumme was eccentric as hell and is still a FB junkie.

Could write a ton more, but u get the point.

Testifying
To average 8.4-4.3 (4.7-3.3) @ Tech is pretty remarkable considering how strong the B12 South was in football.
I grew up thinking Spike Dykes was a good coach and Leach blew him away.
