The first time I heard this song was on Three Dog Night's live at the forum record (early 70s). I liked it a lot but forgot about it until years later when I heard the Traffic version and realized it was their (Winwood's) song and it was even cooler. Besides the nice song structure, few rock bands were using reeds then.
