Will be heading up tonight, hoping for a decent crowd despite the cold weather.

Current Draft Kings line is Iowa State -24.5. I'll bite

Iowa State 79
North Dakota 52

Some notes on North Dakota:

Turnover prone... 248th in offensive TO%. That doesn't bode well for them against our D.

They're a better offensive team than defensive team. They don't rebound well at all on the defensive end... 283rd in defensive rebounding. They don't force turnovers on defense.... 287th in defensive TO%.

Overall they aren't a very big team so I'm guessing we'll score a lot in the paint. Creighton put up 50 points in the paint on them in a 96-61 win.

Personnel:

Their best player is probably junior SG Matt Norman. He's 17-35 from three on the year. Another guy to watch is freshmen Forward BJ Omot. He's actually their leading scorer at 12.6 a game and seems to be a stretch forward. He's listed at 6'8" 175 so we'll see how he does with physicality. They also have a kid from Johnston on the team, sophomore guard Reid Grant. He only plays 11 minutes a game and isn't much of a contributor.

Prediction: Iowa State 73 North Dakota 52

Would love to see Ward's minutes go up. He has been really impactful when on the court both in terms of defense and rebounding. Second highest plus minus on the team behind Osun. He has the best defensive plus minus. Highest rebounding percentage and highest steal percentage.
