I can't find an easy way to sort this outside of # of games played against Q1 opponents.

But Iowa State tied last year for the second-most (this includes the NCAA tournament) --

I don't think 11-8 against Q1 teams was all that bad. The only teams with a substantially higher winning percentage up there would be national champion Kansas and the other #1 or #2 seeds.
According to this link we were first in Q1 games played https://bracketologists.com/ with 21 (11-10)

After watching Iowa/Clemson I feel like we will wax them in a couple weeks. They are really going to be bothered by our defense- again.

It will be tougher this year but oh well even if Iowa wins; these last two wins are a big deal.

North Carolina had a 93.3% chance to win that game with 3:54 left on the clock.

53-60 and Cyclones’ ball, but it wasn't looking very good.

The blue line then proceeds to shoot up like a rocket the next few game minutes.

Here is what happened next in terms of scoring --

3:32 -- 56-60 -- Grill made three
3:15 -- 56-61 -- Kunc foul, UNC 1/2 on free throws
3:07 -- 58-61 -- Jones dunk
2:30 -- 61-61 -- Grill three after Kalscheur steal
1:43 -- 63-61 -- Grill made two after Kalscheur steal
1:18 -- 65-61 -- Holmes 2/2 from the line after steal
0:25 -- 66-61 -- Kalscheur 1/2 from the line
0:20 -- 66-63 -- UNC 2/2 from the line
0:19 -- 68-63 -- Holmes 2/2 from the line
0:08 -- 70-63 -- Grill 2/2 from the line after Kalscheur steal
0:01 -- 70-65 -- UNC made layup, essentially a garbage-time point by then

Final.

7/8 from the line after the under-four timeout is how you ice a game.

3 steals by Gabe in the closing minutes deserves a shoutout.

So they had us last? Yeah screw that.

One of these projected our SOS at 99 a week ago.

We’ve already played UNC and Villanova and play in the #1 conference. Last year I think we had #11 sos on BPI. We probably haven’t been outside top 100 SOS since deadweight Nebraska/CU left and made the Big 12 the #1 league.
