That was pre-Big 12 Championship game. If TCU beats us, then beats KSU, will see how much the Big 12 Championship game matters.

I know it's highly likely, but don't really understand how you could leave out a 13-0 team from a power conference. Regardless of 'style points' or margins of victory or whatever. Perhaps therein lies a truth, that the committee doesn't really view the Big 12 as a 'power conference'.

The other flaw in this argument is TCU still has to beat K-State or Texas in the Big12 Championship game. I don't think either school is just going to roll over.

Plus a 1 loss TCU still has a path to the CFB Playoff. Although a loss to a 5-7 ISU might be a big negative. But IMO no worse than if they beat ISU and then lose to KSU or Texas.

But it would not surprise me if USC and Clemson don't lose at least 1 more game. If that's the case and Georgia wins the SEC CG, then I could see the playoff being:

Georgia (Undefeated)
Ohio State
Michigan
TCU (1 Loss)

Bama would jump TCU.
Not even looking at Bama's record, but they love getting Bama in there.

I think TCU has one chance to make the playoff and that's going in unbeaten. Clemson, USC, Michigan, etc. all jump them I think if they have 1 loss.

Don't think the same thing will happen this year. I believe TCU has beaten more ranked opponents than any other team in the country.

You gain respect in your conference by winning a game like this. See 2011 OK State. I want nothing more than to pee in TCU’s cheerios on Saturday. KState could beat TCU in the CCG and they would be out of the playoffs anyway. An upset win would be huge for the morale of our program going into the offseason.

He forgot to one arm it. Fortunately, he remembered to do so against WV in 2012 to save embarrassment for the conference in a higher bowl game.

I see his theory here. I would say that it's not a bad take. I don't think I could root for us to lose but it would be nice to get a big 12 school into the playoffs so we can sell we have viable teams in the Big 12 to keep our value where it is.

Umm what? The big 12 has 3 teams ranked currently including TCU? Two ranked victories isn't leading the nation.
