I want to believe the committee would do that as much as you do, but it just won't happen.

TCU will be 4th in tonight's rankings- losing to Iowa State on Saturday would put them too far back to make up the ground.

What WOULD help them is Ohio St beating Michigan b/c Michigans Non-Conf is trash.

I also don't see Clemson and USC both losing - USC is more likely to lose than Clemson with the remaining schedule.
You always have to consider that the Committee will do everything in its power to **** over a Big 12 team generally, and TCU specifically. TCU got hosed before. The ******* committee will do everything in its power to knob-slobber all over the B1G and the SEC. USC probably counts as B1G now. Some new concept of additional datapoints or some other ******** will undoubtedly be employed. There is NOTHING objective about the committee.

I'm going to be honest, at this point with no postseason hope, I hope our offense continues to flame out so miserably they have to hire Manning. Don't give them anything they can latch onto to support him coming back.

If we win, I’ll be happy for Iowa State who could likely still make a bowl at 5-7. If we lose, then go get that playoff birth TCU. Hopefully K-State doesn’t ruin it for them in the Big12 Championship.

I always want ISU to win.

I also realize this is our one real chance to pressure CMC to relinquish control of the offense to someone that might do there what Heacock has done on defense.

So, conundrum.

There were a lot of CFB writers late Saturday/ Sunday saying pretty confidently TCU will jump to 3rd this week. I don’t think the CFP Committee is that stupid- they are waiting for a lackluster performance vs us or in the CCG to justify dropping them out completely. Undefeated or not.

Us beating TCU would do damage to TCU, the Big12, and possibly even ourselves, in the form of justifying not firing offensive staff.

With that in mind, I say:

Let's watch the world burn and beat TCU

TCU has to win both remaining games - no other way. The committee has shown their biases before and will continue to do so.

Say TCU loses to K-State in the Big 12 title game- they probably go into that game ranked #3 after the Ohio St/Mich game. They aren't dropping only 1 spot to #4 with that loss. They are dropping further.
Yep. I would guarantee that's what the committee wants too.

I do want changes in ISU's offensive philosophy, if ISU wins will that prevent the change?

I do want ISU to win and shock the CFB world too. Which could also be good for recruiting short term...keep who we have invested.

Tough decision

I didn't take into consideration the poor performances by Ohio St/Michigan so that could be possible, I suppose. Even if they went up to #3- one loss and they're out.

I always want to win no matter the scenario however I've had the same thought process that if TCU runs the table then getting them in the playoffs would be good for the conference going forward without OU and TU. I would hope we would not roll over on Saturday. I honestly don't know if TCU is playoff worthy. They've gotten lucky more than once. It kind of sounds like if Tennessee keeps winning that they might leapfrog (leaptoad in their case) them anyway. Happened before.

Tennessee lost last week to SC. They're done/out

Yeah that isn’t happening. TCU pulling out a one point victory is no different then Michigan’s and TCU doesn’t have the cache or benifit of the doubt Michigan gets. OSU still won by double digits in rough weather.

Wait, is this the current CF hot take? That CMC has no input on the defensive side but does on the offensive side?

I think this might be the first game in a long time where the game gets out of hand.
TCU is playing for a playoff spot with a kid from Iowa as QB. And we are sitting at 4 wins.

Take the over and TCU..
